Death, taxes and fans of every single sports team believing the league and refs/umpires are out to get their specific team.
100% this.
There isn't a sports team on planet earth that doesn't believe the institution is against them. Real Madrid fans are convinced there's conspiracies against them - you know, the most successful club in the sports history. The one the king of Spain is a fan of.
Fans, and I include myself in that, are completely incapable of assessing something like that objectively. We dismiss everything that happens in our favour, and have a visceral reaction to every injustice. Throw into that mix how bad the average MLS referee is and it's a recipe for playing into that kind of thing.
NYFC defender who head butted SeanJo was suspended today, along with Owusu.
Sean Johnson didn't get anything?

The book being thrown at TFC by MLS FO
Wtf? Maybe cause he was not on the roster but jumped on the field?
They should appeal that for sure.
Other then that its basically just tomorrows game and Owusu missing Saturday as well.
Brutal. Why do I get the feeling this is going to spiral us for the next little while?

Herdman will be for the chest bump, not the comments. They have no real choice when it's that blatant.
I wonder what Richie did. Must be bad, possibly hitting the big defender after the headbutt.
Didn't someone wrestle Prince to the ground or am I getting that backwards? Should be at least one more NYFC suspension.
As for a spiral, I wouldn't expect that, not with the chip they're developing. If anything this will galvanize them.
So, given Richie’s suspension would occur once he’s fit to play, it should keep him out at least into July, or even, close to the end of August, possibly 3 matches after his return from the Copa America.
As for Nashville, that’s Bernadeschi, Long, Longstaff, Owusu, Johnson, Herdman out.

Yeh, not expecting an emotional spiral - based on Saturdays post game presser, the team are taking steps to isolate the emotions of Saturday from the job of the rest of the season.
If we lose Wednesday & Saturday, Bogert et al are going to blame the Saturday events & blame Herdman.
That is nonsense but, hey.... gotta do the narrative.
FWIW

The league will never back a Canadian club.
We're just guests in their national development league.
What does winning some American trophy do for TFC?
Leagues Cup and CCL is all that matters.
As I get older the more I want the CPL to step up, and get TFC, VAN, MTL out of MLS.

No mention in the disciplinary report about Johnson - yet
He might have received a multi game and this is being appealed - no mention of Richie too.

I think it’s one of those things where they know TFC will likely activate him early to get around the suspension, so therefore they made the suspension longer.
Honestly, the practicality of this is probably nil. How’s the league going to verify when he’s truly match fit? Feels like a loop hole you could drive a truck through.
