I couldn't sleep last night. That was incredible. I'm pretty gutted I'm out of money to travel to see TFC this year. Although given my track record I may be better off watching from this side of the country. I posted this on a different forum that has an MLS thread in the off topic section, and figured I'd share here:
"I've been following the team pretty closely for 6 years, and everything they have ever touched has turned to a turd.
This year has been incredible. Steal the Canadian Championship in the dying seconds, and this conference final should have been dead so many times given the clubs usual mentality in tough situations.
3-0 down in game 1? Should have been cooked.
Give up the early goal at home to go down 4-2 on aggregate? Old TFC folds like a house of cards.
Give up the go ahead goal in the second half to make it 5-4 on aggregate after coming back to put yourself in a position to win? Should have been an implosion.
Giovinco gets injured when you need to either score a goal or survive penalty kicks? Panic should have set in.
That was the most incredible part. Giovinco, besides his two corners these games, was not only contained by Montreal, he saved his 2 worst career free kicks for these games. The team won in spite of their star player being ice cold.
I've traveled to Portland, LA, Montreal and Toronto to see this team play and never even seen them score a goal in person. They've killed me inside so many times, which has made this so much sweeter."
I can't wait for our next extra time match when in the 98th minute we can sing a song for cheyrou
Great work in the stands last night as always...
Thanks for making the last 10 years so memorable!
I just saw this and it almost made me shed a manly tear.....THIS is the legacy of last night and this playoff run....we hope that this team is the future goal for kids in this city to aspire to.....hopefully the next generation can grow this game even more, and push it to even greater heights in this city and in this country.....
Saw this tweet by KJ that gives a great pitchside POV on the Hagglund goal.

Slow clap leading perfectly up to the Hagglund goal.
I've re-watched that at least 20 times. Tears every time.
People I didn't even think knew I was a TFC fan have been congratulating me in the office
Someone needs to make a tribute video of the unsung heroes of the season. Big goals by guys like Cheyrou, Endo, Babouli, Hagglund and the huge saves by Bono. It's crazy how much depth paid off on the road to the final.
Also, Oso makes me cringe with his interviews sometimes. God made you guys win the game? aye aye aye.
What an incredible night + result. I thought that the team that scored the first goal would have won. Thank God I was wrong. This team has an ability to bounce back that it never had before. Can't wait till the big match.
Anyone have a pic of the banner that was unfurled after the anthem in 110? I never got a chance to see how it all looked because I was on the top of it.
Everyone I work with was happy for me today.
TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)
It's actually pretty surprising how much people out west have been talking about these games. Normally MLS goes pretty unnoticed out here, but you couldn't have a better spectacle to draw new fans to the game than what just happened in the last couple weeks.
was that Larry Tannenbaum on the podium beside Bradley jumping up and down with the team? Nice if it was him. Looked very happy.
btw props to Tosaint Ricketts for going and getting the Brazil flag from one of the supporters (props to him too!) right after the final whistle
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
A lot of residual bitterness at the fawning press TFC's support got in the first couple of years when a minority of people, to be fair, WERE a little smug. I also know supporters of Columbus are still bitter about that infamous "kerfuffle" that happened at their stadium several years ago.
And it isn't everyone. I did a tour around BigSoccer, and the majority of comments I saw were actually pulling for us, and/or stating that we deserved it after so many years of futility.
Calling TFC supporters "smug" or "arrogant" in 2016 is just laughable. Ten years in the wilderness doesn't leave much room for arrogance.

For me I was most impressed by Portland's fans. Their supporters section was full 45minutes before kick-off and loud as hell. They are the benchmark for everyone. Seattle is excellent as well and they get the biggest numbers. Toronto - this year we have recovered the damage done by many years in the wilderness - but we have to get over the problem of trickling in after kick-off in the regular season. This play-off run goes a long way to re-establishing TFC support back to the top of the league & next season will be the test. Saturday the 10th and BMO will be a cauldron - we will carry these lads to victory no doubt.
