TFC AT THE DOME: POST-HANGOVER
MLS week in review. week 1 8 games, 0 ties! 18 points to the west, tfc in 3rd. Are the west that much better, or is it just down to the east having to do all the travelling?
also if it goes to penalties tomorrow, who's your top 5 for tfc?

TFC Off To The Semi Finals – Galaxy v TFC Video Blog
http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/20...fc-video-blog/
In this post game video blog I celebrate a famous away win for our Reds versus Los Angeles Galaxy that has incredibly sent off our club to the semi finals of the CONCACAF Champions League.
I also heap deserved praise on the `Men of the Match`in Kocic, Soolsma and Ryan Johnson respectively, I take a look at the successful, if dangerous tactical approach Aron Winter took and I ask the question if its too early to pray for a snowstorm in late March.
Comments always welcome and appreciated.

TFC To Miss Field Marshall Frings
http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/20...rshall-frings/
Thoughts on the impact of Torsten Frings' injury for the next six weeks of MLS action and how his absence brings to light the incomplete job TFC has done in the pre-season to truly address the club's defensive frailties.

The faint hope of defeating Santos Laguna in their CONCACAF Champions League semifinal tie has disappeared, while a favorable stretch in MLS play might be squandered.
Quite a good analysis of the challenges facing the squad.
and for more of these what next without frings articles. here's mine. No torsten, no cry. loooking at the alternatives available.
and squad announcement, and preview of the u-23 qualifying tournament.
Weird thread is weird.. but, anyway.. =)
I remember when you switched to using no colour, except for the jersey red, that I had thought it neat.. as I made the connection that it was in corresponding with it being off-season. That said, I was looking forward to full colour returning, when the league began.. but I can understand if it's a little more difficult to poop these out, with so much more detailing and I don't think it's terribly missed. Guess I was slightly let down to see there wouldn't be such a clever contrasting (worth noting that it's a little difficult to make out the Vancouver and Montreal fan characters, without the colour.. even if the badge is somewhat shaped as a hint and with you consistently using the same characters).
Had only wanted to mention this as food for thought, really. I have still thoroughly enjoyed your strip, so I leave it for you to consider.

I considered moving back to full-color when the off-season ended, for the reasons you point out. I look back at the ones from Season 5 and admit that they seem more fun.
The only reason I haven't gone back is time. Maybe I could do colour once a week... that might be a good compromise.
Thanks for your thoughts. I always appreciate the input.
Some thoughts on THE BIG INJURY - and how, realistically, it was going to happen sooner or later and better now to get the house in order, and know what to expect/need to do, for the rest of the season than in sept or oct and realizing we have no clue how to adjust ...

A blog article about a Rapids supporter in England. A bit of novelty, isn't it
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
