    we need two cms imo.

I suspect an Aaron Long announcement is imminent, as RBNY has said an official goodbye on Twitter.

They might sign Long, too. An LA reporter had a piece a few hours ago saying they were back in the bidding against Seattle and Miami.

I fully believe moving on from Mavinga is the right call. He is a great guy, but his best days are well behind him. This should ensure we are gonna sign another CB too. I have been saying for 2+ years we should use our u-22 slot on a CB.

Agreed, we needed to move on. Really hope we can find a younger CB with some pedigree. There’s gotta be someone in South America we can sign on a U-22.

New keeper & two new starting CB's

Going to take a while for this trio to get on the same page....expect a few months of "WHY?"

If we get them in in next few weeks you'd be shocked at how fast good players can work it out.

LAFC added 4 starters including 2/3 of their midfield and gk last season and looked the best side in the league from day 1.

We need to get a move on tho.

I fully expect 5 signings in January.

    Maybe more

But MB as a back up would be acceptable.
I agree with the need for a number 6. I’d almost put it at the top of the list.

    I agree as well.

Ideally we get a utility player who can do a job at 6 and 8.

I have been very optimistic this offseason, but my most pessimistic view always leads me to believe that until we sign (or even get a rumor) about a 6, we are planning to play Michael Bradley 90 minutes every single game.

Personally I believe this is why we didn't go for blessing.

    He can't play the 6.

Mavinga needed a change of scenery.

Him moving on is good for all parties. I wish him all the best in LA!

    Long going to lafc.

Would think they'd have to shed another player or 2 to afford that.

I am not surprised that the dominoes are starting to fall. Would expect news about both callens and Johnson this week.

Glad we didn't go for long.

Too expensive and looks to be losing his main attribute, pace.

Got embarrassed by Cincinnati in the playoffs last year.

We all would. Mendez is an absolute beast who would do bits as both an 8 and 6 in a Bob Bradley system. I just fear that we may have spent too much on our midfield already (3+ million atleast) and are gonna need to go after cheaper options.

Strange signing for LAFC given that they have an abundance centrally.

Interesting that the twin "expertise" of Bogert and Twellman -- when it wasn't something already okayed by the league -- didn't even have LAFC in the final three.
