I watched the highlights for this on youtube (suscribe to concacaf, its great) and man Dallas got peppered all night, can't believe they pulled this one out.

You mean Brek Shea? Came from the IMG academy in the states, not really "nowhere". I think he was the 1st or 2nd pick overall a few years ago, dumb hair bright future.

That's why I cringe when people disregard the draft.

I dont hate the draft but i do think itll become less significant to quite a few teams as they develop their own academies. Itll still be around and used but as peoples academies get better they will be less dependant on em
Frei and Edu too.
A few standouts but the draft is pretty hit and miss, moreso than any other North American league.
Shea was a bit of no brainer. US U 17, U20 stand out and used to be GA.
Good enough to play multiple position, but I'd love to have this guy on LW for TFC...

I don't, but if his loan to MLS is abruptly terminated, then we have nothing and we'll be sad.
Next Wednesday, Sportsnet is showing the conclusion of the Seattle v. San Francisco on Sportsnet Ontario AND Sportsnet One, but not showing the Dallas v. Alianza. Seems like an odd choice.
The Seattle game is 1-hr time delayed (played at 10ET, airing at 11ET). The Dallas game would be 3-hr time delayed (played at 8ET).
Looks like I'll be watching a stream either way.

A few weeks ago, when a thread opened about the possibility of trading Stephan Frei, I mentioned that there is only one player I would do this for and that would be Brek Shea. He can play any position along the wing. For the Summer Gen-Adidas trip to Spain, he was a stud. Dallas locked him up for a few and I can’t remember his salary but I would still trade for him. Look no further than the TFC game where he exploited or Defense.
Pretty good article. If there was one player that I would trade for, it would be Brej Shea. He is very versatile (can play wing, or defense) and is very young. I watched the highlights from the gen adidas tour of Spain and Brek was a standout. He played CB during the tour and his coach at Dallas says his talents are more suited at CB than LM. I don't know who we'd have to trade for him but I would try to trade two or even three first round picks and maybe some allocation money for him. He is solid and probably the only CB I would trade for in the MLS right now

just saw that highlights of that match, fuck is Dallas lucky to not have lost that game...yet they won.
terrible luck for that Alianza side, there was 3 chances in the highlights that absolutely should have been goals.
