4 months would bring him to August, 6 months would pretty much write him off for the season. Big blow for him, and TFC.

That sucks for the team and for Frei.

From a team perspective it means we are going to have to carry his salary and can't trade him either. Kocic has been playing well and I could only see the team keeping one of them since they are both pretty good MLS keepers and neither would want to be a back up. Now we lose the ability to use one as trade bait.

well, i guess that answers whose going to start this season.
how bad was the event that led to this injury? for a training session this seems kinda steep.

also, who do we have backing up kocic now?

Brian Rowe. apparently a bit of standout on NCAA at UCLA

That's terrible news. I wish him a successful recovery and I hope he works hard and comes back strong after this injury. Alles Gute Stefan.

Sucks that Frei is out for this long, but glad that TFC didn't trade away either Frei or Kocic off season. Having GK depth is good

I always had it in the back of my head that he was injury prone...i would see him waaay too often at Toronto Western Hospital, spoke with him a couple of times, never knowing the real reason he was there...but, I did know the departments that he was frequenting
