Been meh so far.
Been meh so far.
Given Scolari talked about it today, they must be all waiting for MLS approval.
Heheh, Harry Redknapp having to negotiate another player departure date to TFC. Deja Vu.
Should be less difficult this time.
No interview with Nelsen or Bez? Meh.
new videos with the players don't seen to be loading...

Nelsen at media day
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
he must know someone important lol
They scrum interviews with journalists asking the questions are far more informative that the cream puff ones sit down ones with GOL.
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
Gilberto seems like a nice guy.
we really need to educate that the prononuciation of portugeuse and spanish names are not the same.
well said Gilberto, "good luck with your portuguese"
I think the players are sick of either same, or similar questions from the media every interview

Paul Hendricks did his homework and connected with the guys. Adrian Serioux is pathetic that this is his sports and he hadnt done his homework. Didnt even bring up Morrow when talking about the Leftback position and said Rey may be an option in center midfield. He struggled with all the new additions and was going off of last year and thats it.
Hendricks atleast you could tell put the effort it.
Henry also looks huge. He is going to maul strikers.
According to Tim Bez TFC has 28 players under contract, not sure if that includes Julio Cesar - Last part of the video:

Impressed with Lovitz, very well spoken and focused.
Didn't see too much confidence from this group last year, but this year it seems to be there in bounds.
The suspense...

According to some tweets Gilberto said he's aiming for 25 goals this year. Good attitude to have no doubt
Can I just say that I absolutely love Hagglund's spirit? So great to hear him speak like this about the team. He is so excited to be here, and it is contagious.

Paul showed more insight and interest in his interviews in one media day then Lee has in all his interviews combined. Not a single Ummmm or repeated question verbatim, sure some similar questions, but a different take each time. When you watch 5 of these interviews in a row, or like I do, 20 of them, Lee sounds like a god damn parrot who only knows how to say 5 phrases.
I know that I sure as hell am.
And yet, I'm starved for more! Waiting for the one original gem of a question out of the fifty that we've all already heard, that might just maybe, pry some new insight into the character of the players that will partake in the unraveling drama of the upcoming season on the stage that we know as BMO field.
I think all the hype is starting to get to me.
I need a detox.
Exactly, and when Dike told Serioux that he had played with Nigeria versus Italy and scored a goal for them during the off season it was definitely news to him.
Maybe we're just too Uber fan and hold to many people to the same standard. Personally, I think if you are going to report on a team, you probably should aim to know more than the uber fans watching your interviews about the subject.
This is it right here: preparation. Watching some of these media guys ask questions makes me think they just rolled out of bed and winged it. I know this isn't the most important story you'll be covering all year, but do it some justice.
This is why the bloggers get so much traction, because they actually care enough to know the details!
i was impressed with the obvious amount of preparation Paul Hendricks did; had no idea who he was before today, thought he was a new hire for goltv canada (and would have been happy had he been)...and you could see he had his sheets in front of him with information and questions he wanted to ask each of the different guys that sat down with him
