Fuck off Caldwell. Always the homer for TFC's opponents (especially concerning fouls).

NY hardly creating much. TFC need a goal from all their shots and possession, before NY score on some half-ass chance.

TFC the better team most of the time, but not quite as sharp as against DC. A bit tired, the smaller field, and/or the surface?

NYC doesn't look like the top team in the east, with a 1 1/2 week rest, vs. a team on a 1/2 week rest.

“Boring” half which is exactly what you want in this kind of game - just a workmanlike effort so far...keeping it simple and hoping to steal a winner somehow....

That wasn't a foul that got their yellow.

    *****

We've been the much better team - midfield quite dominant. Interplay with the forwards going well. Ciman going to ground a couple of times and getting a yellow is annoying - that might cost us later.

NYC partnered with the wrong baseball team - much better pitch.

We are pulverizing them in midfield, but haven't created enough clear cut chances. That's where having Jozy out hurts us.

We owe it to ourselves and to the rest of the league to win this and make sure no more playoff games have half the field obscured by netting

Was that the best TFC have looked all year? I think the good chances were something like 8-1 for us.

They are giving us their best version of themselves. It is all you can ask.

Not sure about boring, or stealing a winner... TFC up 6-1 in shots; 4-1 in shots on target. 52% possession, and more meaningful: almost double the number of passes in the attacking half compared to NYC (184 to 98).

Too bad we don't have a real striker to play. Pozuelo doing well overall, but why does he ALWAYS seem to chip the ball?

Garber needs to grow a pair and get that farm team in line. Get a stadium or pack your bags, lots of teams looking to get in.

It took about 20 minutes of play to stop watching that damn net. Amateur hour.

Great half. Maybe our best of the year considering the circumstances. Well done Vanney.

We need a goal because we might run out of energy towards the end of the 2nd half after the D.C. match. Fuck I wish Jozy was out there.

Refereeing is hella suspect, going both ways. Like, the fact Bradley got away with almost pulling a guy's shorts down, to stop a counter, without getting a caution is hilarious.

The short interplay looks great. Midfield is so solid. Very nervous of the defence though.

    Yeah, pretty much this.

We are going to fall down in the 2nd half, and I fully expect a defensive bozo alert moment. But...we are in with a chance against the best team in the east and back in June, that would have been unthinkable.

I wish we had seen at least a single replay from the side or the back; all the replays were from the same angle. I wondered if the NY player might have grazed Benezet's leg? If not, it didn't really look like a dive either. More like Benezet just lost his balance; or perhaps he was expecting the NY player to press him, and Benezet was trying to lean into him.

Decent first half from the reds. I’m tempted to pull Endoh for De Leon. Sebasa’s had a few good touches, but he’s getting bullied on the right wing. De Leon’s experience might serve us better. Benezet has also been poor and I’d expect Gallardo to come on if he doesn’t improve soon. The real problem is we don’t have many attacking options on the bench. Jozy’s constant injuries are hurting us big time

This is what the Reds needed, now the can focus on the defence, tighten things up.

Fox sports 1 such a good feed.

    Had to switch from tsn.
Even had uk stream up .

Decent half, anyone see the digital ads that can even read properly due to the short length.

    Omg what a turnover
    What a finish

Two lazy backwards headers by NYC setup that goal. Shocking. First one went to Auro; 2nd to Pozuelo.

OK we're a bit lucky with the officiating tonight...

Defensive liability with Benezet in our side of the field.

    Thank you Westberg!

Why the fuck is Mavinga going so far forward, on this tiny pitch?

We can’t park the bus , as vs DC we have to go all out or it’s simply waiting for a NY goal . And they’re tiring ......changes please .....don’t wait till they score .

Mavainga looks gassed. Endoh needs to come off even though his work ethic is high. We are falling back way to much on this small field.

If Mavinga is gassed, why the hell is he sometimes halfway into the opposite half?

Really need to settle the defense, and regain possession.
