I'm really interested to see how Forest play him. Based on my really quick Google searching, they seem to have a young RB on loan from Middlesborough who's played nearly every game. LB has been a bit more of a rotation and they've been playing three at the back a bit more lately. Could see him deployed in a more offensively minded role?

Ah, the old days when we had to chase Borrè rumors for like two months. Things have really picked up since then.

A note on Salcedo there, he has liked that Will Forbes post about him going to Toronto.

Salcedo apparently has a side career as a musician. Any chance Drake can make a call?

Laryea may be setting the record for playing for teams named The Reds. 3 by my count

The other Reds need a LWB according to most team reporters. One guy out long term and the replacement is clearly out of position and not succeeding.

It is really cool to see the fanbase so revitalized. Ali Curtis was truly a drain on this franchise.

The man's inactivity, outwardly, seems astonishing in hindsight. He literally seemed to go for whatever the easiest answer was. Need depth? Hire a bunch of MLS 1.0 guys struggling to find a gig. Need a DP? Hire a short guy who had a good Copa Libertadores and he'll be another Giovinco. Need a new central defender? Omar Gonzalez was rookie of the year once! Need a new manager? Fuck all that checking out guys overseas, we have Chris Armas just down the road and he's AVAILABLE, how crazy is that?

I think he might be better suited for an operations role which he has now. Where it’s more task oriented vs trying to be the man and make decisions. Better a worker bee then the queen. there was an interesting article about the new league and he and another guy running talk about it. It’s the most in-depth thing I have read about the league so far bar the MLS stories

Help pay for Salcedo. I assume we'll have to buy him on a TAM deal.

Sure, but he was still an elite level striker. How many started in the Prem? 30? Plus Spain and Italy - generously 100? Jozy would have been in the next 100 despite his struggles there, which some critics have attributed to the cManager wanting him to play a back to goal game that wasn't best suited to him - somewhat like what might be happening with Lukaku - just because of his size. The post I was replying to stated otherwise. (Morever, it was Sunderland, a tire fire) A parallel could be Christian Benteke and I think we can agree that he would be wildly effective here.

He's now an automatic starter for Canada and has been one of the top players for TFC the past few seasons. He's getting the chance to play in one of the top markets for soccer in the world while in the prime of his career. What a great story - congratulations to him.
    Bravo!

My assumption too that we'll take the GAM we get from Richie and use it on Salcedo. We'll be a bit less flashy but a lot more solid at the back.

Gotta agree that Forest going to the Prem with Richie would be a great story.

Doesnt matter really, does it? But his performance in Holland was incredible and presaged what he has done for us. legend.

A smart MLS team needing a coach should throw some money to bring Daniel Farke here. Brings kids through, plays good attacking football, has coached at just the right level that he wouldn’t think MLS is below him. He’d be a great MLS coach. Norwich’s problems are with a bad spend over the summer combined with no time to figure out the starting 11 and bedding them in because of constant injuries and covid.

This is all so incredible. Head is spinning. Is Oso next out the door? Where might his opportunity be? Spain? A team that that saw him last year play in Bradley's position so effectively and needs an effective leader there? One of JDG's former clubs? Clears space for Priso and Okello to develop too. But that, together with Soteldo, might be it for the exits. If we are bringing in two defenders, hard to believe we are also bringing in a 9 - and in that case Jozy stays. If fit, he'd be a very good partner to Poz and Insigne, even if he is as worn out., slow and unathletic as he looked at the end of last season.

i like him. Humble and canny. I also like Dean Smith. Straight shooting. Unfortunately for him he is going to have to bring them back up - I do think he will.
