10 minutes to save our season
10 minutes to save our season
Even if its a tie, we don't make the playoffs?
Man fucking bullshit on that goal by Wondo.
Can somebody please explain: when we know our defense is weak, why are they often pulled forward incredibly far, with really bad shape, and minimal defensive midfield cover?
There was some concern earlier this year that we would lose Bono to a European club. I think those fears can be put to rest.
When was the last time our season was over in August?
Even if we win, we don't make the playoffs.
Get fucking real guys. We are struggling to beat FUCKING SAN JOSE! They are the garbage of the garbage of MLS. We have ATL, Portland away, DC away, LAFC, LAG left in the schedule. We need over 2 PPG and WE CAN'T BEAT SAN JOSE COMFORTABLY.
This is done. Joke of a season from us. At least we won the Canadian title.
Pretty disgusting by Vanney to rest Giovinco in a must win game for the first 60 minutes. I hope he's fired.
Last minute Gio freekick..miss
Hagglund will be defending agaisnt oduro... Tortoise and the hare.
Pretty much a disaster to not take all three points. It was a gift to get out of the first half alive, and to give up the win on yet another mistake by Bono is so poor.
This result magnifies everything wrong with this years team.
Terrible defending, Vazquez injured, Mavinga suspended, Altidore suspended, stupid decisions from Vanney. We don't deserve playoffs. Pathetic.
Defence without Moor or Mavinga is bad.
Bono regressed.
Chapman not progressing.
Look good with the big guns in but we are where we deserve to be.
Sadly we cant even say we deserved better - frankly SJ had more of the game than we did.....next week is the false hope if we win, and dagger if we lose game against Mtl.....
What went wrong this year, everyone says that CONCACAF champions league was worth it, but we have regressed as a team, i dont know what to say but just disappointed with the team this year, we arent bad enough to get a good player in the draft but we wont be making playoffs, i feel disheartened
I hope there is a reporter who asks Vanney about his rationale for not starting Giovinco, Moor and VDW tonight. I would be interested to hear his answer.
Hmmm really glad I watched that game from 4am to 6am in Europe...
This game on Vanney for poor selection then taking out Janson when we had momentum and needed to score one more goal. Gutless performance by our "depth" players. It's going to be busy off-season to replace bench players who have been very poor when they were needed the most.
Bono, zavaleta, hagglund and Delgado and vanney utter garbage this season. The amount of mistakes they've made this season I can't comprehend.
Against the last place team we start with a weak line up. Once we take the lead instead of using Ricketts to kill off the game vanney decides to sit back with another defender and hope for a 1 0 win. God I am so frustrated and angry this season.
Utter garbage.
Poor effort and tfc were lucky to come away with a point. SJ had many wasted opportunities and should have been up a few goals.
What a poor match that was in the grand scheme of things. As well as we did start, the lack of quality in our starting lineup showed, and what should have been a winnable match for us almost became a match that we lost.
San Jose had too many chances. I'm not surprised that they came away with a point. Even though we started well, San Jose eventually took control due to Hamilton struggling to make an impact and Morgan being our weakest player. Morrow, himself, also struggled on the right side and looked much better on the left. Hamilton looks short of confidence, and it's showing with his more reserved performance and lack of confidence in taking on the defenders. Morgan looks unfit every time he enters the pitch, and today was no different. Chapman looked alright but was barely involved as we seemed to prefer Osorio and the left side. He might need to be more assertive and demand for the ball some more if he is to become more effective.
In the second half, when we were playing with a back 3, I don't know why Hagglund was attempting to play out of the back every single time. He was never away of any potential danger that his teammates would have been in, and he kept on playing short yet dangerous passes to Morrow instead of just passing it back. I know that Mavinga basically plays this role, but Hagglund doesn't have the quality on the ball that Mavinga has. In the end, it cost us (along with Bono's clanger), and it typifies our season.
I told a few other TFC fans last Wednesday that our season's pretty much done with the Canadian Championship. We should aim for the playoffs, but we shouldn't expect it this season. Let's just enjoy this bumpy ride and hope that it ends on a high note.
