I just got this email... so 250 tickets are available to STHs who want more.

    -----------------------------------------------------

First, let me thank you again for renewing your season tickets for next year. The buzz continues to be positive in the front office and we are all looking ahead to an amazing 2009 campaign.

I also wanted to let you know that our records indicate that you have requested additional season seats by placing yourself on the platinum waiting list. As you know we renewed at a very high rate, therefore there are a limited number of tickets available for purchase.
There will be over 250 tickets available as additional seats, they include:
    5 tables
    50 field side seats
    150 dark grey seats
The remaining seats are in the red, medium grey and light grey sections

We will begin selling our remaining season ticket packages shortly, but first, here are a couple of additional things to note:

    • There is a maximum of 4 seats per account
    • You cannot purchase seats for another party - seats can never be transferred to another/new account
    • All tickets will be sold at the "New Season" price. Click here to view pricing

If you are still interested in purchasing additional seats and you have not yet reached the account maximum, please respond to this email by Friday, October 31 to confirm.
Next week, we will schedule phone appointment times (based on inception date) for all confirmed platinum list members and communicate this time with you. All you need to do is click reply then send. However, if we don't hear back from you, we will understand that you are no longer interested in additional seats this season and therefore we will not schedule an appointment time for you.
If you have any questions at all, please contact me directly at the number below.
Thanks again for your support of Toronto FC,

I'm a full season ticket holder. I had checked off the boxes under "Waiting List" in my Account Manager. that's the Platinum list. I'm not actually intending to buy any more seats now tho.

Looks like they'll have 250-350 tickets for the next in line (gold list?) after the STH's get more.

yeah, but when you click those boxes, a box highlights for your rep - invisible to you - that says "SSJ - warning, warning" and then disregards your request

Cheapest pair you can get will run you $360 per.
Plus whatever fees they tack on (I think it's $12 or something).

I really wanted to get a pair that I could use for my brother and little nephew to attend the games, but I think $700 on top of the cost of my regular seats may just be pushing it at the moment.

yea, i'm waiting on the gold list.. i just hope they don't attach promotional stuff (like marlies tickets last year) to the packages they'll throw at the gold list. This stuff is pricy enough already.

Sounds like they are trying to close the loophole where being friends with a STH will let you bypass the wait lists.

They told STH this renewal period that if you did not transfer by Oct 3 you would not be able to transfer at a later date. I was told by my rep that they are discontinuing this because it was essentially allowing people to bypass the waiting lists and therefore unfair to those people on the gold & red lists.

No clue what the makeup of the waiting list is like in regards to scalpers ....
but keep in mind that many scalpers are already STH and could just as easily pick up extra seats as platinum list holders and flip them to their scalper buddies.

There are a lot of supporters on the waiting list as well. I'm glad that the club has decided to go this route. With the Leafs, the only sure way to get seasons is to get them from a relative. I'd rather TFC not model their season ticket base after the hereditary model of the Leafs.

so unless you really trust someone...
    like a blood relative..
you are probably better off waiting for the gold/red list.

Nothing stopping you from getting extra seats for friends or family... they just have to stay in your name forever.
And you are responsible for their behaviour at games as the tix will be under your account!

i was aware that we could not transfer tickets after oct 3rd...was there an email sent in this regard?

and why couldnt i transfer tickets to an existing season ticket holder, especially if they were interested in one of my tickets.

so what happens to the tickets when you are too old to attend and would like you family to take them over?

Ok I should not say this but the "you can not transfer rule" is as temporary as Mo's stay with us....as soon as they expand the stadium, or someone makes a huge fuss for example if the value of the rights becomes in the tens of thousands and someone finds out they (TFC) gave save season seats preferentially (read between the lines)...this whole thing will go out the window...
