The Napoli Media are awesome…. Football players are following the money, Soup is Soup. Bernadeschi is following the Insigne Cart

That's how Bradley as a manager wins. He builds teams that play his system. He doesn't change the system to fit the players he has. You give him a free hand, you'll see his system in play. You'll likely get a solid team though much less exciting than 2017 TFC. It should be a contender. I find it a bit dull but if it wins I'll be happy.

    LAFC was dull?
That's all I'll say about that.

Does anyone get the feeling that we are just throwing “stuff” at a wall repeatedly, and hoping some combination of it sticks ?

Depends really. LAFC was playing as good or better football in the entertainment sense when he was there. It wasn't all put together but they did run & gun.

I thought LAFC was the most exciting team in the league for a while.

    BUT

Also tactically inflexible and ineffective in the playoffs.

If “Stuff” is money then yes, but there does appear to be a plan. One Italian said we have offered $6MM and highest he has right now is $3.5MM on the table

Their problem was they gave up chances and moreso they consistently chose the shittiest goalkeepers available and they got burned for it.

We have Bono and unfortunately he fits that mold.

By molding the team according to the head coach/sporting director's vision? I'd like to think not. If this was only Manning's doing, then I'd believe otherwise.

At least they are willing to spend money, I’ll give them that - maybe stupidly sometimes - but at least they aren’t afraid to “lose money” to try to get better - I guess that’s half of the thing that fans want from ownership - the other half is an intelligent person doing the spending. I guess we will find out how intelligent that spending was soon enough. I honestly have no idea of the trajectory of this group of players playing together.

Yeah it kind of feels like the old Mo Johnson days.

On a side note any negative impact with Jimenez now that Poz is gone? Is he rumored to be on the move as well?

For those arguing about Bernardeschi, remember the quote "I'd rather be happy than right".

Well if he goes on $6M then he would be our 3rd or 4th highest paid player ever so I would hope he lives up to that pricetag. I saw him more around $3M to be honest or at worst the Poz contract.

He's known Poz for a few months. Not like they were long time BFFs. He'll be fine.

At least they let Poz get his 100th appearances. Always felt a bit disappointed that Frei only got to 99

I just tried to reconfirm the link, regardless while we have the advantage and before Apple parity comes to play… Soup is Soup. Gotta love it.

Only a year and a half until we can sign Marco Verratti. I am pumped.

I thought so too, on both counts. Their front three were very fluid. You have to have the football smarts to do that as well as the players suited to it. We certainly don’t have that here… yet.

I’m not counting on much playoff effectiveness for TFC (but you never know, it’s a crapshoot) but I’d like to see some exciting football, in time, and some Champions League successes.

Maybe we can sign Pozuelo in January to a TAM deal when he's a free agent.

Not likely, but if the Giovinco fans in the Instagram comments still have hope 3 years after he left, I can still have false hope an hour after he left.

Man... I thought Pozuelo had a lot more to give here still.

I don't know. One of my all-time favourite TFC players. Still think about his debut all the time. This sucks.

I subscribe to “playoffs is a crapshoot” at about 40%.

Can it be? Sure. Should you be good during the regular season and under perform in the playoffs every year? No.

Something Bob will have to prove he can do

Unless Poz got to pick his destination I am wondering what is wrong with all the other teams in the league. 150k of Gam seems like a steal for a half season of Poz.
