At least Giovinco will never be remembered for the infamous slip.

Not really thrilled about the idea of Hanni.

Same age as Giovinco when we got him.

I’d rather a 22-26 year old we can flip for a profit in 2-3 years.

If they are serious about being financially efficient I don’t see why they would go this route tbh.

Go for a brandable South American like Kaku or Valeri

Same. The overall depression and hopelessness feels like old times as well.

If I'm not mistaken, the two previous records were the DeRo trade and the 2016 MLS Cup final.

Looks like he would be the Vasquez replacement though as he is a 10 and the 'prime' age guy is separate according to KJ.

So somebody has told KJ who the DP target to replace Seba is - I give it 48 hours until a leak happens.

... even has the same sort of Belgian pedigree, but this time will speak French instead of Spanish. (Good for Mavinga and Ciman?)

Well he is younger than VV. Looks okay from YouTube. We get a legit DP & 1 or 2 TAM guys and we're in business.

Quite possibly an upgrade on Vasquez. Have to see but definitely in the same ballpark.

Interesting. Seba's IG post was only one side of the story.

It's best to wait to see what TFC will look like on the pitch before people speculating that MLSE is intentionally torching the place down.

I think the truth lies somewhere between both stories. Both sides are trying to save face.

For sure. They offered him less than $7.115M for less a term than he wanted and he said F.U and left.

Besides, I look at both sides and how they responded. Giovinco lashed out and did so pretty fast. It looks like the actions of a guy who didn't get his way. On the other hand, our FO is ghost like silent. I think if Giovinco doesn't post that IG message then we still don't hear a peep from Manning because to them it was just part of doing business and they made him happy so move on. I assume we probably initially came in with some lowball offer but then came up like Manning said. That initial lowballing is part of doing contract negotiations though but I am sure it royally pissed off Giovinco & his agent. That's probably what kicked the whole Saudi thing into action.

Plus TFC management declining the option year on his contract added fuel to the fire.

On the subject of the third GK, Eric Klenofsky is on trial, started in the Reds 3-1 victory over UC Irvine yesterday. Ex LAFC and Sounders reserve Charlie Lyon played the second half in net for the Reds.

True. That probably didn't go over too well either.
