We're still in for Criscito in July, apparently.

There is money enough that they can fill out gaps in the roster and there was time enough for them to work out deals. It's one thing to have unaddressed roster issues, but another to be looking like a mess with most major issues yet to be resolved going into training camp.

Seems to be a common theme amongst a lot of MLS teams based on supporter comments. Most seem in no hurry to fill out roster holes and it makes you wonder if they aren't waiting for this TV deal announcement expected later this month. Will they change some things? New rules? Maybe some new allocation money title (YAM [youth] or VAM [veteran]) since they love that stuff. It's suspicious that it's happening all over and nobody is really signing many free agents so something is probbaly up.

Thought by the way the media and fan blogs talked that Fraser's next move was definitely gonna be straight to Real Madrid. Good luck to him in Belgium though. I feel bad for the guy for being so hyped.

Also, poor Caldwell. Fraser was the guy he always said should be subbed on regardless of the situation.

Belotti Update: I’m told that there hasn’t been much movement as Belotti is waiting for a bigger offer. With his age he has more leverage than Insigne had. This could drag out awhile possibly even until the summer but I still believe he will be a red. #TorontoFC

For anyone who does the Instagram tea leaves reading thing, Ashtone Morgan has been featured in both Oso and Delgado's instagram stories in the past day or two. Would not be surprised to see him join on a one year deal as cover for Lawrence.

He opened a coffee shop in Toronto last year I think. Last week he had 4 TFC players stop by and check it out. TFC players love their fancy coffee

Shrewd business move grabbing retail space at rock bottom prices if he can keep it afloat through all this.

The space used to be a dance studio before, so it's quite large. Hope it works well for him

He should never have been cut in the first place. Yes please.

People seem to forget his play on the pitch. he wasn't good.

Great Locker room presence sure. But very 1 dimensional and couldn't be relied on outside of desperate/short handed times.

Translation: Ayo wants to bang home 15 goals from Insigne and make himself a very rich man.

Maybe a initiative 22 signing, that would be some pretty good coin at this point, especially coming off the injury?

Disagree, very solid defender. middling deliverer of a cross, but very solid defensively. Rarely got beaten outside, but not a wingback really, a fullback.

Have him back as depth in a heartbeat. As previously noted, RSL bloggers seemed to agree, he played well for them in appearances limited by his international status and changing management.

The "six figure a season" is a bit amusing given that the league minim is only $19,000 below that.

Maybe he means a million a season. Somehow doubt it.

We have the cap room to give Ayo 400-500k or whatever and use our U-22 slot to pay a big transfer fee for someone else to take that spot. Maybe someone to play RW.

Apparently, TFC made a $1,000,000 offer for Tashreeq Matthews but he declined. This seems like it would have been a U22 signing? Good to see we are trying to make good use of the mechanism.

Yes. This is exactly the kind of signing TFC should be aiming for with that slot. I like them aiming a little older too. Signing an 18 or 19 year old is a bigger gamble.

Tigres stalling on Salcedo until they got their new CB over the line is smart business. Fair play to them.

Agree entirely. This was perhaps more clear when he was getting more time on the pitch with us but was still in evidence later.

He suffered from being taken for granted. He does a job. He got moved so Tony Gallacher could get some PT - how did that work out for TFC?

There were (and I hope will be again) all these people that never rated him. Whatever. I might have preferred Raheem, but absent that, look forward to hearing the criticisms of Ashtone for several more years!

Morgan would be a solid addition to fill the Morrow role. He's a solid depth fullback. He's not a star by any means, but he's not a black hole. He can be that player that you don't really notice in a game, which is valuable in a depth role. Those "oh yeah he played players", sure they don't win you games, but they don't lose you games.

He's a guy who knows his role comes in and does his job. I remember in the later years of his career here, he wasn't playing, got thrown into a CL game (against a Mexican team I believe) , and played really well. The only reason he left is I believe he wanted a shot at a bigger role (which didn't work out in RSL). At this point, he'd probably gladly return to TFC, wouldn't cost much, and would provide some veteran locker room leadership.
