The only difference being that Richie is a lot younger and a lot better.
Remember, Ricketts had cement feet, while Richie is a fine dribbler in speed.

I agree, the guy was incredibly down. Instead of yelling at the ref after the PK like almost always happens, a couple of the NYC players were yelling directly at Mattarita. Fresh-legged Richie against a guy who's been playing 89 minutes is not a good recipe for the opposition. (Which is one reason I would have liked to see a few more late-game Schaffner cameos, even if not in the playoffs.)

Not sure which thread to put this in, but this was on The Beaverton: https://www.thebeaverton.com/2019/10...mpionship-run/

'TFC players canvassing to raise awareness of championship run'

(yes, there's a pic of Seba)

Just a FYI this is a satire site like the Onion.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Yeah, I missed out mentioning the satire bit for those not familiar with The Beaverton. Although I think people may have got that from reading about Bradley getting a 10 minute lecture on Trudeau after canvassing door to door.

Well Bradley & Trudeau look almost identical, so I could see it happening.

That was fucking bonkers. So worth the trip and 2 days lost wages.
Those lads gutted out a game when they must have been fully ready to collapse. Mavinga throwing himself into everything for the last 20 minutes (especially the last 5?!?!?), Bradley absolutely everywhere - such a machine. Not sure how Delgado made it 95 minutes as he was gassed at 65 but kept running. Poz doing the work.....that chip was super cheeky. Poor Sean Johnson.....

Not sure if it made the broadcast yet as I haven't watched my copy but they had towels that said Made It Here or Make It Here and they'd do the baseball thing of having "WAVE YOUR TOWELS" Flash around the stadium. so cringy but man did it give Mavinga a good line to drop in the on field shots! MADE IT HERE!

Still so pumped up. On to the next!
