Rutty's agent posted that he's about to "head off to Europe". I'm guessing a training stint.

Probably. He's under 18, so I'm pretty sure he can't be transferred until his 18th birthday.

So last week was all about setting up "a reset".

This week will be when we begin to see how that shakes down in terms of the current squad.

I don't expect the Jozy situation to be settled until January, so would be surprised to see anything on either Jozy or Gallardo (the two most likely contract buy-outs) until then.

But the extent of the reset will be known by how many get let go this week - in my mind. if its not at least 5, its not really a reset.

Not sure how reliable but from what I see the Gallerdo contract is done https://www.spotrac.com/mls/toronto-...allardo-32389/

The chart seems to be totally out of date as Omar etc are “under contract” Not sure how you read that but if Gallardo is out of contract he certainly isn’t returning.

Some buzz coming out of Turkey that Besiktas (same club as Larin and Hutchinson) are interested in bringing in Jozy Altidore.

The Gallardo experiment is essentially the Ager Aketxe experiment except it went on for too long.

IMO - unlike Bez, Curtis didn't know how to fail fast. Should've moved on from him after the first season.

Are you sure those aren’t the rumours from 2010, that would make more sense

This paper has Julian Dunn going to HamKam in Norway. Don't know if it's a loan or signing; his contract was due to expire. I'll be rather pissed if we lose him on a free after he finally started to show some value. Not surprised, particularly. Good for him, I guess. He didn't get a shot all year until the season was basically done.

This probably the reason we didn't see much of him this season. Dunn was being punished for not signing another contract and TFC only played once they ran out of options.

    MLS News @reportingmls

An MLS team is currently in negotiations with 21-year-old Peñarol winger Facundo Torres, per source. Torres, valued at $6.6M, has 9 goals and 7 assists in 31 appearances for Peñarol in all competitions this season. Peñarol is the same Uruguayan team Diego Rossi came from.

As a young U22-DP this would be an excellent signing. As a DP, which I fear this might be, I would be disappointed.

I think we need some Centre Forwards and Centre Backs, not more wingers...

One of the Turkish stories said they're looking for a backup striker, someone to fill spot duty and come in late off the bench sorta deal. Sounds perfect. He still gets paid a ton, they get a late game threat, he doesn't have to play a full season.

I figured moreso because Larin is as good as gone and they need somebody up front.

These teams don't pay their players most of the time so it might be a freebie in their eyes.

The lack of good offers will tell him.

With that being said - if his contract did get bought out - does that mean he is getting his full salary from us + whatever another team pays him? So he'll have at least 1 good pay year.

They don't have to. They won't pay a transfer for him, they'll wait until we buy out his deal. He'll have no problem playing for a million or less when he's already been paid out for the season by us.
