My Academy Of Football should be signing as many strikers as they can; never enough.
Given their track record at such signings over the years, even more/other Italians as Scamacca, or like Belotti.
At the very least as Antonio insurance in any Moyes 4-4-2.
They need to reinforce and solidify their next step towards routinely qualifying for and competing in any UEFA tier.

    Suarez as third DP.
Jiminez to Seattle for the rights.
Tell me Larry T isn’t telling Bob to do it.

Suarez is going back to Uruguay. Discovery rights are only like 50k. Jimenez would be a stupid overpayment.

There's a rumor that Seattle refused to sell his discovery rights even though they're maxed on DPs because they didn't want to strengthen rivals.

Preventing a marketable character coming to MLS (and probably LAFC) is the kind of thing that might make Garber ditch this stupid MLS rule.

Rumor is probably the wrong word here. Accusation is better.

My understanding is that Seattle would have had to make a "genuine, reasonable offer" to Suarez if they don't want to trade the discovery rights. I couldn't imagine the league wouldn't force Seattle to sell the rights here.

This is the kind of thing we need to happen to force MLS to scrap the Discovery Rights list. After that they can abolish the allocation order/list.

I can see a RB coming in. Probably through a trade.

There was a question on Saturday to BB about why Doniel now - in the answer, BB stated he was easy to do now because nothing else needed to be done to get it done. But DH needs work on a lot of things to get him where the team can rely on him.

I suspect another move will be made to be able to make then a CB move.

I don't think they believe Doniel is the solution.

The league has stepped in during these situations in the past with marquee talent. If Suarez wants to play in a certain city and that club has an offer for him he’d accept, they aren’t going to let Seattle stand in the way.

They’ll get a token payment and be told to move on.

In the American market, he's not marquee
talent, I'd say. He's years off his peak and not among the pantheon of top players anymore or even close to it.

    Jloome, pass the bong already.

He had 21 goals in 38 games for the La Liga Champions one year ago.

That's before we talk about any Barcelona, Liverpool, Uruguay, or cannabalistic exploits.

He would be a big draw. I guess its moot now.

True but he has similarities to some DPs that have failed in MLS in the past (ie. getting slower by the minute).

    Doesn't matter anyway.

I’ll struggle to name names off the top of my head but they’ve twisted arms for players with way lesser profiles.

They learned from McBride back in the day.

of yeah we definitely need a big draw now lol.

i suspect the 3rd DP will be more berna than insigne (i.e mid- late 20s player who just wasnt consistently good enough for european giant but would excel in MLS).

Could TFC be the team? Would make a lot of sense if Oso doesn't re-sign.

I’m okay with the current four centre backs for the rest of the season… but man and boy we really need someone to keep Nelson off the field when Kaye can’t play.

And a good RB please. It’s always going to be difficult playing with two totally clueless starters. We have no depth anywhere except centre back.

And yeah, I like JJ but as someone put it earlier, we need a really good target man in the mix.

This is what I would like to see this window. A depth CM and a starting RB.

gimme whatever we can find, literally anybody to play in position so I don't have to see Nelson at CM again.

Off season has to be find the Michael Bradley heir apparent - if Bob needs his flexible 6, it's not going to be his son.

This is just my grumpiness having to watch Nelson and others play in a critical game last night but I’m skeptical of our roster rebuild. Nobody should be fielding a team with this many flaws and delaying addressing certain shortcomings.

Everyone who’s been moved out had “attitude issues” or some bumbler sticker excuse why they can’t be on the roster. Maybe “attitude” is in the eye of the beholder.
