Default Other MLS Games This Weekend - April 20 - 22

This is Earth Day weekend so MLS is once again putting all teams into recycled plastic uniforms. All home teams will be in white, all away teams in black.

    Friday

Vancouver @ SKC 9pm - both teams having problems scoring, especially Vancouver without Kamara -defences & midfields not been all that good either but this is two teams getting it done somehow
2-2 draw Why watch this game?
Felipe vs. the most aggrieved team in the league - Vermes is going to go balistic

    Saturday

LAFC @ Montreal 1 pm - LA gets to play on grass again as Stade Saputo finally opens up. Two decent offences. This game is going to be a big test for Piette in the Impact midfield. If he can disrupt, Montreal is in with a good chance here. Otherwise, that LAFC offence should roll.
3-1 for LAFC Why watch this game?
Watching Carlos Vela & Piatte slightly makes up for hearing that damn bell

    Chicago @ NYRB 3:30 pm
    - New Jersey wins at home & loses away. Their speed game is starring to round into form. Chicago is slow in the midfield and will have a hard time dealing with the press.
3-0 for NYRB. Why watch this game after ours?
Schweinsteiger in all black - like watching a pumpernickel loaf run around the field.

NER @ Columbus 7:30 pm - The Unloved Derby. Columbus is winless in 3 but never looked completely hopeless. NER has looked good against teams without much ball movement. CBus loves to move the ball around.
2-0 home win. Why watch this game?
Even with a Friedel addled team, compare the offensive ball movement in this game to what the league showed 7 years ago - marvel at how MLS has changed - then go watch the Orlando game

San Jose @ Orlando 7:30pm - the bland goes to the ridiculous - Orlando home games are always so psycho drama Orlando is the better team but nothing is going to be easy.
2-1 for Orlando Why watch this game?
Always something weird going on in Orlando

Philly @ Dallas 8 pm - Dallas is actually unbeaten - 3 draws in 5 games. They haven't turned it around as much as survived. Philly is just not that good - playing their kids but an unbalanced offence with a selfish winger & a hold up forward who can't hold up or score right now.
3-0 for Dallas. Why watch this game? Urutti's hair

Colorado @ RSL 9 pm - Its the mountain derby!! Curb your enthusiasm people The Rapids have gotten results but haven't been tested in defence yet. Neither team has looked impressive but RSL has looked particularly horrid in defence. Could end up being a goal fest or a snoozer. I'm betting on a snoozer.
1-0 win for RSL. Why watch this game?
Because the aquarium channel is too much movement for you

Atlanta @ LAG 10:30 pm- GAME OF THE WEEK LAG is not NYCFC. Their defence is going to get shredded by Atlanta. BUT, LAG's offence is also going to have a field day in the air against an Atlanta defence, not all that good dealing with crosses. Goal fest
3-3 draw Why watch this game? Zlatan vs. the Mutant Ninja Turtles COWABUNGA DUDE

    Sunday

    Minnesota @ Seattle 4pm -
Seattle has been sooooooooo bad. The Loons have looked competent in comparison. Dempsey returns from his latest month off for assault to the privates. Expecting some goals here and some late heroics from the Loons to snatch some points.
    2-1 for
Minnesota Why watch this game? A deep need to hear "I can't hear an effing thing" in the 15th minute followed by another 75 minutes of players overcoming their bad coaches

NYC @ Portland 6 pm - NYC is the best team in the league. Portland barely beat the Loons at home last week for their first win. This could get ugly but NYC usually keeps it close away from home.
2-1 for NYC. Why watch this game? A drinking game using the words uncertainty, Timbers Army & bad pass will put you out within the first 15 minutes.

Loons beating Seattle might be good for some chuckles, but that has draw written all over it.

The LAG crowd will be hyped beyond measurement after Zlatan's PR tour this week.

    Vancouver imploding against SKC.

Down 3 after 30 minutes - two guys sent off in the same melee, one for hands to the face, another for a full on thrown down to the pitch.

6-0 for KC against Vancouver. Wow. Fanbase for Vancouver acting similar enough to when we had the worst team in the world.

They shouldn't. That team had 10 points from its first 5 games. 3 losses in a row is pretty typical in this league. It will swing around again.

Ugh that was ugly. I'd understand the fanbase as a whole pouting this week.

I feel like we don’t even play in this league. We are on secondment in Liga MX.

God I wouldn't mind this club moving to Liga MX. Imagine this team without a salary cap.

We had a bad team here but that never stopped me from going to the games, enjoying the day out.

Chicago won away today by creating pressure up the middle of the pitch.

They will be gunning for us next weekend - we better bring our A game.

Between Montreal and LAFC we got a lot of Canada and ex TFC there. Interesting coverage on LAFCs part. Sure it sounds a little bush but its nice for LA to hear bias every match.
