    Thoughts on the match.

    Richie is no right back.

Shaff a kid from high school was the second best player on the team. Thats sad lol.

Endoh could have been helping this team months ago just like telfer but vanneys love affair with deleon got in the way.

    Ciman is worse than zavs.

Glad to see the team pull through all that.

Vanney outcoached de Boer, plain and simple, but it is also how the team pulled together that led to the win.

Did anyone else in the stadium see Pozuelo run to the sidelines to hug Vanney after he scored the PK? Clearly he likes playing for him.

Lmao okay so 4 var penalties awarded against us in the last 2 home games. None were given as penalties originally by the way. NONE. Thanks var for ruining our last minute win. Var has ruined soccer is going to be my signature on every email I send for the rest of my life

Didn’t get to watch tonight but glad we pulled this one out. Shaffelburg looked like a force in the highlights. Nice to see someone make the most of first team minutes.

So, mea culpa time...boy did I call this one wrong tonight. Fortunately my 14 year old daughter is a better supporter than me and made us go the game. It was pretty exciting, right up to the very last second. Haven’t screamed at a game like that in a while. I liked Endoh and Shaffleburg on the wings making runs and making things happen. Shaffleburg was man of the match for me and my daughter. I will put my negativity away, at least for a little while!

I scoffed when i saw the shaffulberg signing on facebook, but wow did this kids ever look dangerous all game long. He should be a first team regular after what i just watched.

Also i am shocked that after VAR that Laryea penalty stood. There was nothing in that challenge that warranted a penalty. Gauranteed that if it was the other way around we would be calling for the ref's head for that call. From a karma point of view i couldn't even be mad at the deleon pen when it happened. Thank the soccer/football gods for pushing Martinez's shot over the net on that one.

    Happy for the 3 points.

At first I thought we stole that penalty on Lareya, but after looking at all the replays I saw the hand on his shoulder. Don't watch the feet. Watch the shoulder pull. How many times has a slight shoulder pull been called on us? That's a penalty.

Lose, tie, or win, it's always good to learn something from a game!

Wow that was entertaining / nerve-wracking! How about putting a time limit on VAR? 30 sec. max. review time for the VAR crew, otherwise it's obviously not clear & obvious and the original call stands. Ref should already be waiting at the monitor during that time: he gets another 30 secs max if the var crew thinks it's warranted.

Overall that unorthodox lineup did very well. It's great to see some speed!! Biggest head-scratcher for me were the subs. Chapman came on 5 minutes too late; game was already dragging before that and he was not influential. And only a single sub, with three forwards on the bench, was nuts IMO. Even just to help with game & time management, should have put a forward on the last 5-10 minutes. Pull Pozuelo back to help control the game. 3rd sub should at least have been made right after Pozuelo's PK goal, to kill time & momentum.

Glad to see a tactical change and resulting win. Vanney outcoached them and maybe even got into their heads a bit. ATL was playing pretty dirty, and both defenses were pretty weak.

AK was useless, and while I’m not anti-VAR, this is a good example of a poor implementation.

EverybodyShuffleBerg was great. He had some good moments last game too.

TheOtherBerg was good yet again, making some great saves.

Fraser did well despite some mistakes. Endoh looked good and was an inch from a brace. Laryea looked pretty decent going forward. Pozo playing well but getting frustrated by the poor reffing.

Defensively we are incredibly weak when relying on backup defenders, and they’re also error prone. We give up way too many penalties. It doesn’t help when midfielders lose the ball fairly often...

Entertaining game. Vanney did well with what he had, the attacking portion and movement up the pitch were quite good (could have been more clinical though, or lucky). A promising result for once.

Shaffleburg ... just like I was saying. We need a speedy winger, we had one already, why not give him a chance? Beautiful.

Also – Liam Fraser is the future captain of this team. Like no question.

Fraser has also really improved his defensive play since last year. Really tenacious. Once or twice he still switched off tonight at key moments, but much better.

DeLeon had a great game. Him & Endoh provided so much energy they made up for Delgado's tentativeness.

Width with speed kills in this league. Shaffleburg nailed to the line caused them so many issues they eventually moved Gonzalez Pirez over to deal with him.
