Are we ever going to score again from regular play?

Last night, this game went from a "well if we draw, we are through" to an absolute must win & preferably by a lot.

We are currently not favourites to win this thing. In essence, we lost our home field advantage last night & are now 2 dropped points away from having to rely upon Vancouver to get us a result.

Win both games, we are through. Beat Vancouver & only draw in Montreal & we are relying upon Vancouver to stop Montreal from beating us on a known goal difference.

If this lot goes to Vancouver & doesn't put the hammer down, and I mean win and try to do it with lots of goals, then we are mentally not hard enough.

    Bradely out with knee injury.
Is this the same injury he had before?

No. he had a foot or ankle injury. He was lucky not to break his leg - look at the videos of that tackle - it bends.

You know it was serious when ironman Micheal Bradley walked off the field into the locker room. That speaks volumes.

The media interview with Vanney Thursday had few nuggets beyond the injury except - the players hashed out the penalty kick decision as a team and are moving on - its unlikely to be tried again.

Team got their yesterday at 1 pm local time & won't return until tomorrow - prefer to sleep locally rather then try on a plane.

Smart choice, taking the red eye could throw things off, especially with the short turnaround, playing at Montreal Wednesday night.

No Mavinga or Altidore tonight. Fraser starts in Bradley's place.

Should be stated that both Mavinga and Altidore are on the bench.

Ciman against Cavallini I'm OK with - him & Gonzalez against any speed and we are in trouble

Will Fraser be a direct replacement for Bradley or will Delgado work with him in a double pivot? Everyone knows Fraser is a wonderful passer of the ball, my concern with Liam is his mobility.

Cavalinni is actually quite fast, his acceleration is not explosive per say but his top speed is really up there. 36.4km which put him near tops of Liga MX when he was there.

That said, I don’t think it will really factor as Whitecaps have nobody providing service to catch Cavalinni on a run. So it’s going to be long balls over the top which they should be able to deal with if the line isn’t too aggressive and westberg sweeps everything up.

Very interesting line up to see how they do. So far passing well, moving. Doing the collapsing press at the loss of possession
