I think I get disappointed when I hear that a U.S. group wants to buy an English club, mainly because it means that Canada keeps falling behind. The English fans really want their league to start developing English players rather than ignoring the youth in favour of proven foreign professionals. IMO I wish all clubs were community owned, there's no reason to own a club for yourself.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...rticle1478983/Negotiators for Major League Soccer players and owners failed to meet Tuesday, two days before the latest extension in their labour talks is due to expire.
With players failing to match management's no-lockout pledge with a no-strike offer, the league's first work stoppage appears possible, one that could postpone the first game of the expansion Philadelphia Union and the official opening of Red Bull Arena.
Negotiators met Monday in Washington, D.C., before league officials returned to their New York office.
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports
http://www.torontosun.com/sports/soc...00841-qmi.htmlIt will be impossible to erase the stain on MLS. It will be difficult to make amends with CONCACAF and the international broadcasters that are scheduled to show the tie, with the first leg scheduled for Crew Stadium March 9.
