Default Former TFC Player Update, Laurent Robert Back to Newcastle??

I would have to say that this would be a bad move...

The Magpies however, could move for former Newcastle midfielder Laurent Robert who is a free agent after leaving Larissa.

But, Robert's plea to be given an opportunity at St James' Park is likely to go unanswered.

as a scout from MLS, I would advise them to avoid him.

now they can pay me $500 for my scouting services

Last throw of the dice by his agent, before he disappears under the waves.

No TFC player disappointed me more.

He didn't care when he was here. He was playing on plastic, in a more or less incompetent team. You could see the frustration set in after the first couple of matches.

I think it would not be a bad move for Newcastle if they got him cheap, or ideally on a pay as you go contract.

Until it rained, or he couldn't buy Gauloises or a decent poutine in Newcastle. He has skill, but will he have the proper attitude if things don't go the right way?
