A young Canadian heading off to Everton. Good luck to him.
I posted it here as TFC is mentioned in the article as being interested in young Abe Donzo.

    Interesting piece by Wheeler.

I think I'm pretty plugged into what's going on in soccer circles around here but I had no idea that the OUA or CCCA championship tournaments were taking place this past weekend locally. Had I known, I would have dropped in.

There are sooo many ways to promote these events. It is disappointing that they didn't bother to take advantage of the free/cheap promo tools available (i.e. posting on the forums being the easiest and cheapest way).

It's possible that DeRo's absence is a result of his open criticisms of the CSA and former CMNT coach Dale Mitchell. Of course, it's also possible that since our friendlies are in Europe, Stephen Hart wanted to go with an all-European-based roster, save for Dejan Jakovic (a necessary call-up at CB) and Julian de Guzman (our best player, who should be called up no matter what).

I hope so... cause it would be a big loss.
