Absolutely bush league.
We want to establish ourselves as the best fans in the league and are giving the impression that we are the fans with the least class.
It doesn't matter if the goalie deserved it or not, sinking to that level is a disgrace to the Toronto fan base.
who's trying to be the best fans in the league?
"You play to win the game"
Herm Edwards - Former NFL Coach
So to Summarize this thread:
- regulars here agree throwing shit is stupid but felt it was funny in this one instance due to circumstance
- jogo can't help but beat the occasional dead horse
- the Orange Star Ultras have 10 PROUD fans
- the security at BMO are pricks
- Rachel is horny
- Intru has sweaty balls
Fantastic work people.

Stryker, you forgot to mention one more thing, that you're a just as much of a douchebag as the beer tosser for making a comment like this.
I think people who throw beers at opposing players are douchebags. HOWEVER, the douchbaggery exhibited by that goalie far exceeds that of the beer thrower in this instance.
Good job anonymous alcohol...
If you say so chief. You're right about one thing though, I did forget something.
Don't worry I fixed it.
Sorry I couldn't resist!
How's my spanish, does this make sense?
Hola
Raquel
Bite me.
I was there - Montreal 18/6/09 - 6-1 baby!
boo fucking hoo.
Guy wants to waste a $20 beer and get kicked out of the stadium, be my guest.
They're not going to put nets up in the south end.
They're not going to stop serving beer.
They're not going to put a security guy in every row.
if your worried about getting beer on your fancy dress, you shouldn't be in the stadium in the first place.
I can't believe this is the big story and not the fact that our team can't hit the fucking net to save their lives, nor can they defend a simple house-league long ball play on a free kick from half.
It's not like people are throwing acid. It's BEER. Quit crying over it.
Hey TFC peeps,
I'll post some intro post later - but I think Sage's comment merited some clarification.
IMPORTANT: Sage is a TOOL, no one in the Islanders fan community/boards respects him.
OSU and all other Islanders Barra members will NOT be throwing beer, etc at any players. Streamers after goals, etc -yes. Anything else, no.
We're all looking forward to having you guys travel down here.
I appreciate that people found it funny but it's not in my opinion.
A player was hit with a beer. This board used to freak out about beers and other things being thrown on to the field when nobody was hit.
It's now escalated to a player being struck by an object, thrown by a TFC supporter.
What do you think is going to happen next with respect to the reaction from TFC FO?
Will is still be funny when we're watching the game through a net?
How does saying things, like those that have been said in this thread by some people, make the supporters in the south end look?
These are all things that you have to ask yourself and then ask yourself if it's still funny.
And I'm not trying to be a shit. I'm seriously asking these questions.
well now that the voice of reason has shown up we can just close the thread....unless our fancy dresses get in our way
in the end of the day if they put up a net the main problem i will have with it is no balls being shot into the crowd during warmups....my eyes would focus past them making them essentially invisible...and people would probably stop throwing beers....I agree that its unwanted...but i'd gladly trade a net for grass/north end stands/roof right now....Dont think of a net as the end of the end
It is, people who thought it was awesome, etc: classless
You're lucky PR fans won't stoop to those levels because no one likes to see their club's players get sh!t thrown at them.
Regardless, what is the big deal with what Gaudette did? Everyone says he was a douchebag but I haven't read anything here that merits him getting a beer thrown at him.
If he had stolen your first born child or dry-humped your mother/gf/etc then maybe. What did he do that was a big deal and it offended your delicate sensibilities so much?
I don't think anyone thinks it was awesome today; in the two seconds after it happened, though, after standing through a number of disgraceful displays of gamesmanship and timewasting by Gaudette, people probably didn't mind it so much. Rationality can sometimes go out the window in the heat of the moment. Upon regaining my senses, I realize the guy who threw the beer was an idiot and the fans shouldn't have applauded.
Borderline tactics I suppose.
What he did do that was really douchey was he screamed at a ball boy behind the north net (first half) because he didn't throw the fresh ball (pre goal kick) directly into his chest. Most of the time the volunteer ball boys will toss the ball in the general direction of the keeper and that's fine but Gaudette insisted it hit him in the chest and when it didn't happen, he ripped the poor kid another one.
That was douchey!

Damas y caballeros. Por favor, un poco mas bajo con su conversacion. Aun me duele la cabeza!
Just because they are sitting in a supporter section does not make them a supporter. Since BMO sells those tickets to anyone many scalpers get their hands on them and it could just be some drunken fool that wanted to go get wasted at a soccer game with his/her friends.
there's a large group of the RPB who think everything done in at BMO or the MLS is bush league.... this happens everywhere, turn on ur damn TV. Dida anyone
