I appreciate he’s far from perfect, but in this group he seems to be the only guy on the field who will try to hit a pass between the lines or look for non-simplistic options. I seriously question if we’d have made it into the attacking third even once without him today.

But he just still has the penchant for holding onto the ball too long in the defensive third and makes the occasional unforced error making dumb square passes.

Edit: that’s a good result for TFC.

0-0 at the break...would be great if tfc can get at least a point from this with all the players missing

Good job in the first half, go in with no score. Nashville looks unenthusiastic. Stay disciplined and we might still squeak something out of this.

You can see why he didn't play Insigne, though. We need a solid block defensively, and the speed advantage right now is making it very hard for Nashville. Even at 100% he's not the most enthusiastic defender.

This match has absolutely bored me to tears which means we're doing an incredible job. That's exactly what they would have wanted. If we hold out and come out of here with a point that would be an incredible result. So far so good.

I'm probably Coello's biggest critic, but he was TFC's best player that half. If Mabika keeps playing well, he might start earning some more minutes too.

Etienne and Kerr worked hard, but I don't think either are strikers. This is a game Owusu would make a big difference.

Even 1 of Berne or Oso or Owuso & this game is totally different.

Our most potent threat at their goal was a Rosted foray. Kerr is winning some headers but he has no presence in their area and waits for plays to be made to him rather then him making plays.

Shaq Moore is my favorite player in USMNT history. According to Twitter he was a nailed on starter while playing in Europe. The second he came to MLS it became "calling up MLS player?!?!? LOL".

How does this production crew not spot and handle the Audio issue at half time? Oh Apple TV, you’re like a high school drop-out in a nice suit.

Coello dicks around with the ball at the top of the box again.

So we've hopefully had our one Coello "don't get rid of the ball and give it up in front of our penalty area" per game incident.....cause he does do one per game.

    *******

Nashville isn't all that good...their fans were happy to see this lineup out there and I'm not sure they make the playoffs.

I swear, after watching this, our former coach should change his name to Bob Badly, because our second-string is better than our first-team was last year.

Probably Insigne time. Be interesting to see if they use/trust Sharp in this situation.

DeAndre hasn't done much or been very effective.

Insigne with the superstition touch routine.

Oh, great. If Gavran is out we get old Greg who might be better served stocking shelves at Loblaws.

I suspect he gets more dicey the longer the game progresses. He was starting to fuck around too much and Longstaff has been really solid.

He played great at times but I’m conflicted here. He’s got to stop sinking around in the box. It’s like 2-3 bomb scares a game.

Doesn't seem like he has much of a gas tank. Also interesting to see Spicer switch sides after Shaff leaves the game.

Chaos ball over the next 20 minutes will not be preferred.

Easy, take it slow, move the ball around, move it forward....

Need Etienne off. You can't have him and Insigne as your strikers. Too weak.
