Longstaff wasn't great in the first half, but has been outstanding in the second half. He has to be a nailed on starter over Coello right now. Atleast until the summer window.

I feel like Coello is better as a starter when there's less pressure in the game and it's not as open as it can get later on. I like Longstaff coming in later when things need to settle down.
Based on Herdman's wording all season, Coello is the lowest man on the midfield list and only playing as a sub because they havn't brought somebody else in yet.
He is a liability and why the heck we play through him is beyond me.

That was ridiculous. Ref just robbed us of at least three minutes on the clock.

Thats a silly card to get but the ref didnt add enough time for that injury.
Infuriating to see a referee reward time wasting like that. They killed 4-5 minutes through "injuries" and we only get 1 back.
That 3rd goal was so unnecessary, we should've rescued a point from a pretty mid performance.

Well... sometimes you're just cursed. We outshot them, outworked them, outchanced them.
And we lost.
And Insigne came back, and missed a point-blank tying goal.
And Coello was a fucking nightmare but almost made up for it with that long ball to Fede.
And that ending was utter bullshit.
Johnson lost his mind there at the end. Lately feels like NYCFC are bigger current rivals than Montreal.
What the heck happened after the whistle? Johnson really lost it there and I imagine there will be might be some more cards issued.
NYC were doing it since the 48th minute - you could see Oso tell the ref constantly "are you taking this into account?"

Ref was utterly incompetent. MLS will not be taken seriously until it employs proper referees. This joker isn't capable of refereeing anything beyond youth house league.
You want to know why the casual North American sports. fan can’t seriously get behind soccer ? Tonight’s game is a prime example , get with the fucking times please , get the fourth official to take care of time like what else is this guys purpose tell me ? The fourth official should be taking care of time , stopping the time at injuries and other time wasting times, at the end of 90 minutes he lets the ref know how much time to add on and even in injury time he lets the ref know to add more time when needed . The way time is kept now is a complete giving joke no wonder people who watch other sports think soccer is a fucken joke !

insigne subs in gets a huge chance doesnt score and then nyc makes it 3-1 and thats game...late petretta goal but its too little too late...bernardeschi gets a second yellow after the whistle and johnson also goes wild and will probably get suspended also...classic tfc stuff
