Cremaschi out for three months after training injury.
If they lose a couple more major pieces, they're going to have to play the 35-plus crowd 90 minutes a game, every game.

Playing their first Saudi game Monday at 1 PM EST
Could be brutal, depending on how seriously the Saudis take it.
Suarez just beat a guy to a ball! He looked like he was running on stilts.
Al Hilal scores the first, Mitrovic around 9:50 after Busquets just lets him run free in the midfield, unable keep up.
2-0 two minutes later.
This could turn into an embarrassing rout.
I know it’s only preseason but so far in the games they have played these guys look terrible. Moreover, this Saudi team is missing a few good players that are playing at AFCON and at the Asian Cup. The Inter defence looks terrible and slow . Who knows like I said it’s preseason so can’t read too much into I guess.
I'd really not read *anything* into pre season, not just don't read much, don't read anything. It means less than nothing. I remember watching my team, a league of Ireland team, not just beat Premier league high flyers Leeds 2-0, but absolutely walk all over them. If you watched that game you'd think we dominated them, and were a class above, when in reality their reserves would turn us over in a competitive game. But it didn't mean anything, Leeds probably forgot that game happened before they got on the plane
No managers goal in pre season is to win games, same with players. Their goal is to get fit, sharp and avoid injury, maybe run some drills on some formations to see how they'll work. It's a training exercise, you should give it the weight you'd give a training drill
Well... other than Frank Lampard, who ordered his Everton team two seasons ago to take Minnesota seriously and then saw his team waxed 4-0... because his players had the intelligence to not listen to him in a meaningless preaseason game on turf.
Mid season for the Saudi team. They haven't lost in 19 games.
They were absolutely bossing it for the first half hour but then went to sleep and it's 3-3 now.
Miami has benefited from a couple of dicey calls, but generally both teams look like total shit.
I frequently picked up Joseph Ndo as a value good player in Football Manager, back in the day. I think he was at Shelbourne at the time, if I recall correctly.

Either way, a club friendly, where for both teams the goal isn't to win, but to come out physically in the shape they want while maybe trying some things
I mainly think if you're trying to read into this result as something to tell you anything you're going to be wasting your time. Club friends aren't even international friendlies which has some kind of competitive spirit to them, they're layers even beyond that level of 'dont read anything in to this'. Both managers would take a 10-0 loss and no injuries or a 10-0 win and one player having a slight knock
Oh I could talk all day about the greatest league of Ireland player I've ever seen! Absolute magic in his day, and so much better than the rest of the league to a point it was absurd he was ever there to begin with. It was like watching Ronaldinhio in his prime if he somehow played in something like the the Austrian league, he was that ahead of the rest. He was with us all too briefly but yeah not surprised he'd be a FM gem, he was somebody playing far below his station

He ranged from 13 to 16 dribbling and from 5 to 10 finishing, whereas norms in League of Ireland back then would'v been in the 6-8 range. I was shocked he was there for so long.
I think someone told me at the time he married local or something and liked living in Ireland, but I might be conflating him with someone else. Long time now.
Does Richie Laryea to CFIM make sense at all; in any multi-verse? They got Yedlin and Gressel. Even financially? Probably innocent, apparently he started following Becks on the Insta.
Most Recognizable Players In The World friendly. Good for them. This whole carnival is a lovely store window we pass by twice in a season. If casuals mill outside the window this season as well they're completely welcome. I truly hope they stop in the shop for a time.
Messi is great. He's on an MLS team. He makes them better than Becks did the Galaxy but the carnival is the same. There will be a falloff eventually and we'll all see it. On to the next season.
But this preseason means the Saudis got Messi no matter what league he signed with. Who's interested in how much money made these friendlies happen and then how much went to whom?
Check out the ticket prices for the Inter Miami game in October.... Looks like they have opened up resale. The cheapest seat is over $400 and a pair in 111 is going for $3570. Crazy!
Toronto 'til I die although still a Leeds fan at heart...
$400?!? Looks like the pricing has gone down. lol!
Anyone worried about getting paid on their StubHub sales? Still feels too good to be true.
I'm a bit worried that I've transferred the tix and won't see the money till October, when Messi will obviously cancel last minute. Will seats get cancelled meaning I won't get paid, and I'll be forced to attend?

I wonder if anyone that is buying resale knows that that game falls in an international window
LOL forced to attend. I know what you mean but now I'm imagining MLS/MLSE representatives in uniform each grabbing an arm and throwing you in a grubby school bus full of people in ill fitting Messi Argentina jerseys over top of their arms like an old straight jacket bouncing your way uncomfortably to BMO escorted to your seat where you're surrounded by fans booing before the match even kicks off.
But I may have had too much coffee this morning.
haha! I really hope I'm wrong and Messi does come and play so I can pay for my 2025 season tix when he comes back the next year!
What I also hope, if he does come, is that they have an open practice. I went to the Real Madrid game at BMO back in 2008, and the practice the day prior might have actually been more entertaining. The small game of keep away among the Galacticos was spectacular!
How about we keep this quiet till everyone else gets in on the sale. On another note, is there a chance that Messi retires from international duty after Copa this summer? Or at least takes the rest of 2024 off to focus on winning trophies for Miami (including supporters shield)?
TFC had five-packs available yesterday at less than $100 a seat, including the Miami game.
Prices since the schedule was announced have also declined precipitously. I think most people are now aware he's unlikely to play here or Vancouver (due to the turf and travel).
But I'm more pessimistic about their season that perhaps is warranted; I suspect their "cruise" into the playoffs will not be as easy or guaranteed as the league pundits assume.
(Expectations are so high some Miami/Messi fans were calling for Tara Martino's head after the exhibition loss to Al Hilal.).
I don't think Messi ever plays here in Toronto unless it's a cup or playoff game.
We're the backwater of MLS.
3- 0 Miami already down only 11 minutes in against Ronaldo’s Saudi team and he ain’t even playing neither is Messi right now . I don’t care if it’s preseason this is embarrassing for MLS , what were they thinking with these stupid tour for Miami .All three goals have been like men playing against kids lol. MLS is getting embarrassed right now with this Miami team, they look like the 2023 version of TFC.
A few outlets are reporting Messi and Suarez didn't play today due to joint inflammation. Some people are suggesting the next two games may be cancelled.
Wah wah.
