Suspect it’s not real, since not in keeping with the expected Adidas ‘central’ design concept roll-out for new MLS kits. Still, goes hard…

Wow interesting. I get the concept of tying it to the revolutionary war uniforms, but wonder how appropriate that will be perceived in 2024. Although they are the Revolution, so it's right in their name and is certainly a big part of their history in New England. As for how it actually looks, I kind of like it.
People may know this already, but I've been told that they change the shirts in alternating two-year cycles now, and this year is the away cycle for us, so there will be no proper red shirt this year. Same home kit as last season but a new away uniform.
I wanted to like it. I really did. Tried hard to. Nope didn't happen. My wife loved the Caribana kit last year. But I am really hoping for something other than the dreadful home kit or the hot pink this year. Fingers crossed. Bad kits make our 3-0 losses all the worse to take.
My hope is that our grey "home kit" will become the away kit and they'll replace the away white/grey one with a true red home kit.
IIRC, the kits are "set" a year in advance after a year of work.
So unlikely this jersey is a primary red one.
Pretty sure I heard the 3rd kit is not automatic for teams and only based on the jersey sales of their regular home/away kits so we might be screwed on that if we wanted a 3rd kit option if that is the case. I don't think as many of the most recent kits were sold compared to previous home/away kits.
Being so bold, as to dare dream or will this mistake?

The centre placed crest trend continues....just dawned on me though we had this last season with the Caribbean kit.
My contact says they'll see what they can do about the home-away thing and using the striped version for away.
It's up to the league, apparently, to decide on jerseys. Teams can't make that call independently.
But they may have some wiggle room with the home-away idea, I'm told.
Well, if it was up to me, assuming the new kit ready for release is not red, I would just make our current Caribana third kit our home this year, the current grey w/ red sleeves our away, and the new kit our 3rd for the year (before moving it to away next year). Alternatively, just relegate the current home shirt to third immediately, swapping places with the Caribana shirt.
I feel our third kit has a much better appeal to local identity and is deserving to be the main shirt ... also arguably with the pink is more red, than just having a bit of red on the sleeves

Is the MLS-Adidas Kit Agreement still set to expire at the end of this season/year or has it been extended again? One has to suspect Nike is a knockin’ hard at that door.
