Bill Manning mentioned that our next DP will be relatively low cost, I am of the opinion that we let the often injured Oso leave and Bob has a heart to heart with Michael and recommends that he take early retirement, that frees up over 3 million this year in wages and enables us to bring in a fairly decent DP rather then the promising young unknown DP that you all know they are bringing us.

"Told that #TFCLive still in discussions with Victor Vazquez and Matt Hedges"
if we could get these two deals done for 1-1.2 M would be very good.

Does everyone remember when there were rumours we were after Alexis MacAllister? Too bad that never panned out.
they bid 4.5 M for him apparently.
oh well
I'd prefer TFC focus on Hedges right now if I had to choose.
What are peoples opinions on this? I love Suarez as one of the best strikers of this generation, but there are lots of reasons to not want him aswell. The source sucks, but I would like to hear the thoughts of the people.

Suarez doesn't fit what we need.
*********
Not suggesting this guy in particular, but doing the old tranfrmarket research, I'd be looking at CF, out of contract next year, who isn't starting anymore but in a big league & is 23-30.
Irvin Cardona of Stade Brestois is an example of what comes up when you look for that (I have no clue about him, to be honest).
As I said, not specifically him but that's the idea.
Wouldn’t surprise me if none of this were true. Suarez feels like a player who will wind up in Japan or the middle east, to me. MLS hasn’t paid market for this type of player historically.
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
Victor is as fragile as it gets , he will always be a bad step away from a long spell on the injured reserve list, waste of money for me, throw in monies saved on not signing Oso and somehow getting Michael Bradley off the books and that’s close to 4 million on bringing in a number 9 or a midfield general which is much more of a need for our club.
Can I inquire why you believe this to the case? I am not a fan but at face value, from my lazy Wikipedia scouting, he’s still scoring at an advanced age. Otherwise, the thing I like about his profile from an MLS perspective, is that he plays for Uruguay in an environment where the supporting cash outside of Cavani are steady but unspectacular and he has to shoulder the load. So unlike someone like Defoe, he’d get that he has to step up and contribute directly (whether he can is another story) rather than stand with hands on his hips at midfield waiting for the perfect ball.
Have to disagree with you on this.
Share some similar thoughts as ag futbol.
Character issues aside, I think Luis Suarez still is someone to consider as an apropos skilled candidate.
Has something to offer; to TFC by complimenting both Lolo and Fede.
To highlight a series of 'criteria bulletins' from an old Y11 BleecherReport article by David Hendrick.
Which I believe still hold merit.
When considering him, one could judge and measure the following...
Work Rate,
Will To Win,
Versatility,
Selflessness,
Vision & Passing Ability,
Movement & Strength,
Quick Feet & Dribbling Ability,
Inventiveness & Unpredictability,
Goal Scoring Ability,
And
Ability To Carry A Team.
I suspect he still scores decent/passes on all of these.

Rodolofo Pizarro may be available.
Loan over; back to MFC.
Could he be an Osorio replacement candidate?
Also, unconfirmed chatter, he took a significant discount/-70% for Monterrey even though they may have been on the hook for his MFC 3M+ DP wages.

Non-credible source stating Jordan Morris may be available.
Both he and Cristian Roldan are asking for higher wages; 'DP' salary?
Suggests Roldan will be accommodated/kept but not Morris.
My understanding is for TFC Morris could be on MID-TO-HIGH-TAM within that MLS 15-20% bump limit structure.
Would he be an Osorio replacement candidate? Nope! Cause he is essentially a winger!

Yes. Thanks. Predominately a winger. On both sides.
Duh! Wasn't thinking. On this pay me no nevermind.
Thought, also, at times, a centre forward, as well as, left mid/a-Mid.
Believed he had a Swiss Army Knife ability.
Maybe a little cross-confused with Roldan.
I am mistaken.

VV would still be good as a depth player. The price has to be reasonable though, sentimentality can't enter into it.
Speaking of midfielders, I remain incredibly concerned about MAK. Obviously the World Cup is a completely different animal than MLS, but the guy has lost any semblance of a first touch and his passing has regressed. Defensively he isn't good at all.
Same. I think he had a brief run of form in MLS when he was starter quality but for the most part looks overrated.
The mental gymnastics required to say this guy is actually contributing as a starter (or is capable of contributing as a starter) get more complicated by the day.
