In fairness he's a defender. He's going to come down on the side of the defender when someone is in the box trying to draw penalties. We all know Richie does that. He's good at it! That said, I wish we'd get the neutral commentary. I almost cried when I realized it was TSN doing it.
I think he has a chip on his shoulder when talking about Canada because it didn't work out with him and the National team. He's been a bitter bitch ever since.
Same with TFC - He didn't get the gaffer gig and has been overly critical of them ever since.
He just has this defender-centric opinion on everything. He did the same thing with that this morning while doing their analysis on the Qatar non-PK call. Ricketts was going crazy about how it wasn't called a penalty but Caldwell got into his "the defender was looking for contact so no PK" thing.

Mo Johnson because held multiple positions, and was here a lot longer.
He single handily set this club back for at least 4 years when we had incredible momentum.
Remember the waitlist for season tickets? Yeah just imagine where TFC would be if it was a well run club from day one.

I love the guy but has there been a worse roster move in TFC history than reupping Jozy? In a salary cap league with three DPs reupping someone with his injury record and age...The opportunity cost on that slot with the pedigree of DPs we can attract was just incredible. Not to mention the actual $$ we burned on it that could have been used on anything else
