Priso for MAK is lazy if it happens. Fucking scout a player, Manning. Do we even have those anymore?
Actually, please, Manning, DO NOT SCOUT A PLAYER. Scout a scout. Be a president.
EDIT -- On second thought -- don't scout a scout either. Find a couple of people who would be really good at finding scouts. Get them to give you a shortlist of scouts. Then find another group of unrelated experts who can review that list and give you some recommendations. If necessary, pick from the top two recommendations based on your corporate outlook. That's being presidential.

MAK seems more like a Bob Bradley acquisition than a Manning one.

BREAKING: Toronto FC agree blockbuster deal to acquire Canada int'l Mark-Anthony Kaye from the Colorado Rapids, per sources. Kaye returns home, reunites with Bob Bradley.
Rapids to receive:
-Ralph Priso
-Around $1m GAM
-2023 int'l roster spot
-TFC's first round SuperDraft pick
Thats... a lot

Unfortunately, it’s true. Looks like Priso is gone for MAK. Can’t say I’m impressed with the Bradley/Manning team yet. A lot to give up for a guy you let walk a couple of years ago.
Thanks, I hate it.
Other than Insigne, who is a freak signing occurring only because we have owners, thankfully, inexplicably willing to put money in a dumpster fire and watch it burn, we have traded ourselves continually into a worse position than where we started and it's gotten worse since Bob came in. The transfer window isn't even close to closed yet, so, they may still turn it around, but this continues to not be good.
I'd trade the entire squad to have Bezbechenko back. That was a glorious couple of years when somebody who had some idea what they were doing was calling the shots. Hopefully our sheer level of money pit can buy us out of these pretty bad decisions

So our midfield is a lot stronger now...but still not much depth.
I guess bernardeschi can slot in there if needed.
Wow, love MAK (get him on the field tomorrow) he knows Bradleys system. Sad that it was Priso, and if i am Bernie's agent... If i didn't asking for more when we announced Poz, I start asking for more now.
Fire Manning.
1 MILLION GAM + PRISO + INTL SPOT
This is crazy. This is what Colorado payed for him a year ago:
https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/sourc...ckbuster-trade
"Colorado sent $1 million in General Allocation Money (GAM) and a 2022 international roster slot to LAFC for a first-round pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft. LAFC will also receive additional GAM if Kaye reaches certain performance-based incentives"
This better pay off because Bradley is really appearing to be inflexible. I'm not convinced.
This is a beyond garbage deal. Just blatantly lazy. Absolutely fleeced.
Can you say highway robbery for Colorado Rapids; what a horrible trade
I have no problem rooting for the back half of this season to tank so that Manning can be removed from the club.
We aren’t winning anything this year anyway. Manning is a fucking liability.
Nobody bats 1,000. He also had a coherent strategy, traded incredibly well and assembled one of the best squads in MLS history. Even take out our DPs and we were incredible. We've been run by rank amateurs since then who are only propped up by having bottomless cash to mask how bad their strategy and decisions have been, just as we were before he joined
The only good thing about this is that two CANMNT players should be getting minutes in environments where they can succeed.
This is not a good deal. We paid too much.
How does Manning and co. manage to make it look like they are on the losing end of every deal or they can’t close deals, period. There’s no way there is so much smoke and no fire. I’m so tired of being frustrated with this team and organization. It’s like the team is actually run by Bell and Rogers!
Yeah. That is awful. Paying for the passport.
This is the kind of deal that just stinks of people not knowing what their doing in the front office.
You’re telling me no one (ZERO) people in the front office said “uhhh maybe not give everything for MAK”? And if they did whoever pushed this through was clearly arrogant to give them the finger on it.
Running an operation is not the same as bringing major transactions across the line.
Jesus christ everyone on here is close to self harm.
This is a good move. Kaye has played in a Bob Bradley system incredibly effectively in the past, will slot in seamlessly and make us a lot more solid in the middle.
Amount of GAM in the league has gone up so yeah it will seem higher.
End of the day we are a far more complete team with poz out + berna and Kaye in.
How is it close to no one sees this trade as good and yet the professionals Manning and Bradley find this to be a fair trade; it seems like management is inept at their positions
In their defence, they do see things we don't and have access to information we don't. Fans mostly agreeing on something doesn't make it right. Off the top of my head this board was united that trading away issey nakajima-farran was a mistake and he was a good player - it wasn't and he isn't. And that we should have signed that one guy who had one good game against us in CCL that Montreal signed, and that we'd massively regret it when they did. We didn't.
So we as fans get it wrong alot. But, with the information we have, it's very hard to justify this trade as a good one. Or, their overall strategy as anything other than a bit of a mess propped up by bottomless cash

Bright side: we are a better team. Kaye is a top notch box to box midfielder in MLS.
