Ref is sure letting a lot go.
Ref is sure letting a lot go.
Nelson has been poor.
But our shape looks far poorer.
The way to beat this press is fast wing play with long balls that force the press back.
The insistence on playing this through the middle works right to NYRB's strengths.
I despise the Red Bulls franchise, but they always have an outstanding pitch.
Thought that was going top bins.
I like Ayo/JJ to the point where I think it’s a serious waste of money to bring in another striker.
Can anyone tell what the fuck we're trying to do, tactically? It just looks like a mess.
Make a goddamn decision Jayden. He is so frustrating to watch. He obviously has talent, but needs to figure out how to use his teammates.
Poz is tracking back....he can't link from where he gets the ball though. (TSN pointed out Poz has the most tackles on this team so far this season)
I have a feeling we're not going get many calls tonight.
O'Neill losing his head here.
This is going to be one of those games where we keep it close & then NYRB scores a second through a bit of stupidity & we don't look like scoring ever again.
Otherwise known as every single game at NYRB
Trying to imagine this game without our sweeper keeper....
Lewis Messi out there.
Great run by Nelson, but again, no pass.
trying to look at the positives and the offence actually looks dangerous with JJ/Akinola.
Ayo has gotta be careful.
We've had decent moments but it's a bit frustrating that we still seem to have so much problem moving the ball against the press, getting players into supporting positions and switching field quickly.
Kosi Thompson has had basically no role in the game. He's just playing a purely defensive fullback role but even then is often too far forward to allow for outletting the ball to the wing without risk.
And honestly, if we are gonna play this type of system, Auro would be perfect.
we are a couple fullbacks, a CM and insigne away from being quite a good team imo.
Tom Barlow is a future TFC player. The next Mullinho, I reckon.

There are plenty of goals left to come tonight, I think.
