How can that not be a penalty?
How can that not be a penalty?
Insigne’s Napoli today who were still in the Seria A championship title race blew a 2-0 lead in the last 10 minutes and lost 3-2 to that power house of a Serie A team Empoli and now is basically out of the Seria A race . Insigne will be right at home with TFC .
I knew it wasn't gonna be a penalty when Caldwell said it should be a penalty.
Yeah, that makes no sense. Accidental yes but still a foul.
How the fuck is that not a penalty.
WTF? How is that not a penalty ?
We might as well turn over the officiating to a bunch of cats on speed.
Wow no penalty, atrocious…. Anyways, not piling on things here cause we are losing, but is it me or is Bradley playing higher than Poz and if so why? It doesn’t look like Poz is there because he is covering, it looks by design. Makes no sense at all.
They have prepared for our formation perfectly today.

Osorio is recovering from an injury and was likely limited to 60 minutes. And Bradley isn’t our issue, it’s the wings. In fact he has been pressing pretty well. Our clanker is Poz. He should be an outlet and he’s a giveaway machine.
Thing about this game is if we hadn't had the first 2 goals, everybody would be just fine with it - actually scoring a couple - sure the defence is crud & the DM position is a big gigantic black hole that not even MLS pundits around the league want to discuss but hey...we kept it from looking really bad against one of the best teams in the league...
Getting exposed on the wing, since the wing backs are so weak on defence.
MB not having a good game either.
So packing 3 CBS in the middle isn't going to solve NYCFC attacks, because they are just passing all sides of TFC defence.
Well, they are the defending Champs for a reason. NYCFC is good.
Mavinga + inexperienced fullbacks = no bueno
Here we go. Our Spanish LB from Poland.

I get the Oso taking off. And, yes we have no real FB's (I think Petrasso could be one but BB has made his choice).
Bradley can not recover, holds onto the ball too long & can't seem to hit a decent pass anymore. He does not shield the back line. Our CB's are not good enough to do this all on their own.
That's the biggest Blindspot for me. BB seems to think his son is a play maker, despite being the worst offensive passer in the team. And he's sacraficing pozuelo positionally to get him there. It's absolutely baffling. Pozuelo should be as close to the opposition goal as we can get him and MB should be as far from it as possible
Bob comparing Michael to Xabi Alonso should of been a warning that this would happen.
Part of me died when I heard that, I knew this would be the result. Michael Bradley biggest problem ever had always been that he's Claude makelele but thinks he's Andrea Pirlo. If he had the discipline to just be Makelele hed still he in Europe as he has all the tools but his ego prevents it
sniff
Mavinga very poor on that 5th goal - that was his man but he takes a step inside & its a goal against.
Hopefully Insigne is fast asleep.
Totally agree regarding not losing our cool over this game. It shows we have some potential that fact we were able to hang in there with a hamstring roster.
But when we get around to it, there are more than a few gaps to plug.
Unfortunately that’s not an unfair assessment of the game. We need fullbacks, a Pozuelo who is neither two steps behind the play nor a giveaway machine, and at least one midfielder in the pitch with pace. Looked a lot worse when Oso went off too.
We're so tentative with the ball today it's like we look shell-shocked.
You know what, sometimes it is good to get thumped. It wakes you up. More important, we need to take both games against Cinci.
Thing is, NYC's defence isn't all that good either.
on the other hand...6-7-8 boys had a bad day....maybe next time
