Maybe just as importantly, the only expectation of success will be what they earn, rather than being overhyped then never used by us.
I don't blame these guys for taking the chance to play in Europe, just how Ayo expressed it with clinking champagne glasses, as if they're all going to walk into regular play.
Anderlecht is a big club. Good on the kid if he can get in there. They won't expect him to start, either, but he's at an age where if he shows well (which he must've done at trial already) he'll at least get first team time or loaned to another Belgian league team.
It's probably just a typo but a paper in Chile has Diego Rubio of Colorado playing for us. Trade we haven't heard about yet? His father is a legend down there, so I'm surprised they got it wrong, unless he's told them something prematurely...

they have it for lots of players that aren't in MLS.

nope, player databases are often filled in the backend with lots of players who aren't in that league or team.
So I think Seba is being a little naive here, although i do love his compete attitude. I do give TFC / MLSE credit for taking care of its legends. A TAM deal means nothing to 25 years being the TFC global ambassador (Clark, Gilmour, Pinball, one day Lowry etc..). If his family loves Toronto and he wants to stay, take any deal that lets you save face and enjoy the ride for the next decades.

Manning is really playing the Giovinco situation well.
Having thought a bit about this… I thought Seba was coming back but now I think he isn’t. If he had any traction at all with TFC management he would never have given that interview.
They are not sincerely engaged with him.
I think we can move on.
I wish Seba the best. He has a special place in our heart.

"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
I don't think it's going to happen. Seba's outspoken, at the end of his career and we're rebuilding with a new manager who actually has both jobs. I just can't see that being the kind of personality he wants right now, not unless it's coming from a guy who's a lock to score 15-20 goals (and even then, he'd just find one who's less likely to make waves).
The interview sort of reeked of desperation to get the public onside and pressure Manning, which barring a massive seat holder groundswell, won't happen. And fans understand the difference between a 28-year-old star and a 34-year-old seeking a final deal. THere's just no percentage in it.
Some part of me wants him back, but more of me thinks BB is right if he wants to avoid the risk around an aging diva, especially one that plays the same position as your top paid player. Regardless of what Seba would be paid.

I’d love to see Seba back, but the article made me sad because it did display weakness and naïveté on his part. He should come back for whatever we can pay, given cap - that would be a deal that makes sense for team and player. “There’s an air of anticipation”
I would rather we move on but the one thing I like about Seba was he was the one guy who was saying the championship was the past and we have to move on and move forward, seems a lot of the other guys were comfortable believing once a champ always a champ. I don't believe Gio would come back and try to relive 2017 but rather he would try to win another and create a new story line. At his age I'm not confident that would be a reality though.
Based on Manning's comments, we are assured of bringing in a European based DP.
JMR is apparently training with Arsenal's U-18 team. Arsenal is a meme team, but that is a quality place to train.
Half day trade window today. Might see a few deals around the league. TFC surely will see if they can get a defender from a team in expansion draft trouble.
Local media confirming the Fab's prior reports of Jozy leaving.

I'm just gonna keep banging this drum... Lacazette looks poised to be leaving Arsenal in the summer when his contract is out: https://www.90min.com/posts/alexandr...ons-in-january
Insigne and Lacazette in the same summer window sounds pretty good to me, just saying.
Can we be greedy and hope for Kramaric and Insigne?
As a super sub or a TAM, I would take it in a heartbeat.
