Guys, I will be honest I am going to the Championship game (Tor or MTl) but I have a sinking feeling if we win it saves Curtis. I would rather us not qualify for CCL than Curtis ever getting a sniff at being our GM for next year.
Looks like Jozy, JMR and maybe Mavinga off?
Mavinga, Jozy and JMR
DeLeon sure has no problem putting those smelling salts into body.
Part of me wonders if this is Perez’s way of flipping the bird to Curtis and Manning.
Something tells me there have been more than a few lineup choices that have been dictated.
That could of been the last time Jozy plays in Toronto.
I'm thinking it's Mavingas last game too
Jozy and Mavinga not on the bench.
Dwyer is trying
The subs made sense if you consider that they're playing to make it to the CC game with as many healthy starters as possible.
He takes out Jozy and JMR because it's a meaningless game, Mavinga for a head knock. He plays the guys who haven't had much time lately for the same reason.
Montreal just went down 1-0 so it's looking rough for them. So, some good news today!
Pozuelo can’t play out on the wings. He’s standing in acres of space crying out for the ball. Needs to be in the middle of the pitch
Mavinga also had his knee bandaged up in the middle of the first half. Could just be trying to protect him a bit.
With Jozy you never know. He could of been replaced to save for the Canadian Championship. He could be hurt. Or he could of had a temper tantrum in the locker room at the idea of being subbed out.
I'm ok to lose this game so that IMFC doesn't make the playoffs
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
He played on the wing for almost the entirety of his career. He moved inside with us and sometimes played inside in Belgium.
But if you mean what's tactically ideal, I'd agree. I don't think it matters much now, as our movement is so bad no one is ever open,. No point having a playmaker with no one to pass to, whereas if he gets the ball outside he can at least unbalance their backline a bit.
But... ho hum, we suck, no matter where they play right now.
I'd say along with arrogance issues we have personality clashes, the wrong personalities pissing off the wrong people. Teams that don't like each other don't generally do well no matter how much individual talent there is.
Caldwell and Wileman are talking about Perez like he has already been informed he is done.
Summer of Perruzza time
Man... Dwyer missed that rebound by so far he might as well have just booted it into the parking lot.
difficult but doable, united are not impressive either
Dwyer shoots the ball.
Such a change from the normal
Did wileman just say Dwyer hasn't had a shot on target since September 2019... And we signed a striker with that stat. Wow
