Have At It People
Looking at Ticketmaster this morning it looks like tickets are actually moving for this game and we will have a good crowd. That will be especially nice after the amazing time BMO saw last night with the Canada victory. Wonder if that has people looking for a little more in person footy after all the Canadian hype. I also looks like we will see the return of Poz.
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
That international break was fun as a Canadian soccer fan, but I am excited to have TFC back.
Jozy and Pozuelo may be able to play tomorrow. Would be nice to have Poz back on the field to start developing an on field relationship with Soteldo.
Soteldo is questionable - got injured on international duty. I think they hold off on him until the Montreal game in a week.

One of the reason why I'd like us to win this game is then its very likely some other team goes out of the playoff chances before we do - nice to see the "e" beside other people first.
(We are not going to get the top draft pick)
There were some reports that said Soteldo wasn't actually hurt, but he got in trouble for going out and partying and showing up late the next day. Apparently a few senior players on the team confronted him and basically told him to leave because this has been a recurring problem.

I was really starting to love our speed game up top, not looking forward to seeing Jozy again
With the caveat that this is the internet… wow.
It would be a rare thing for a valuable player to be so much of a jerk that teammates on a team desperate for WC success nevertheless excommunicated him. If that is remotely true…
(Mind you, it’s over for this cycle, for Venezuela - they have totally flamed out in qualifying.)
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
This is getting out of the realm of ridiculous, and going into the "ageless globetrotter circus" area.
I mean it's never ever possible this season for TFC's 3 DP's to have an official match playing together, while all 3 are in good shape.
No sir, that's just not happening, it's a better chance to have a +20 Celsius day at 8:00 PM at Christmas in Toronto, than this...

This whole outcome, 3 DPs who basically never see the field together and disappear for stated reasons that defy belief, should be enough to get Manning fired.
Hes out there floating ridiculous stories in the press about important players he might sign when the most important ones he has have become dysfunctional. This is clear ineptitude.
I assume Poz plays today. I seen a picture of Jozy in training, is he close?
Josef Martinez is out for tonight's game.
He has Jamie Tartt levels of overconfidence.
His on-field mannerisms and looks of disgust seem to pop up whether it's the other person's fault or his, so one sense a certain degree of primadonna self-delusion. Give a 23 year old who can dance with the ball the #10 shirt at Santos and that's what happens.
Fans down there think he's the second coming. It's sort of weird, frankly, given that both Brazil and Argentina produce players that good in their regional leagues. If he thinks he doesn't fit here, imagine what he'd be like in a top league. Your Fonzie reference springs to mind; most of the EPL is built like that.
Maybe the Brazilian league ain't what it used to be, because I imagine he'd have trouble holding onto a starting winger job in Argentina's top flight.
Having said all that, he's definitely a DP-caliber player by MLS standards. He doesn't score enough and makes terrible shot choices but he can feed a pass through a needle and beat most players on the dribble. He's p. fucking fast, too.
Soteldo starts. Poz and Altidore on the bench.

Soteldo starts. He’s getting way too much shade considering the fact that he’s one of the only players in this team who consistently looks motivated to win and pissed off when we lose. Bigger fish to fry than the guy who is actually good at his job, everyone.

6 years later and we still rock the same midfield. That is cool to me.
False 9 by ATL is an interesting choice...

Good chance tonight. Hotlanta is sorta Notlanta without Josef Martinez.
Any idea what's up with Mavinga? Not in the lineup at all, is he injured?
He’s a good player but he’s only 24 and it’s hard to ignore some of the attitude issues. Like I said he’s definitely DP quality but we need better goal production and it would be nice if the stories about how unhappy he is in MLS stopped — although my sense is that maybe it’s a lot of over-hyped bullshit.
A sprinkling of just family and friends it seems , so we are to believe that next year like a miracle the stands will be full again I highly doubt it .
Honestly, I feel like Atlanta is our biggest rival outside of the geographically fuelled Montreal.
anyone got a half way to decent stream? Everything I can find dies after 30 seconds
