It's not bad. Certainly a hell of a lot better than what they were currently using, which was shite!

TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)
I don't know man, this is kinda cool in a 90's vintage sort of way

Hard to concentrate on football when family life is a bit of a mess due to COVID
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Forge announce they will host an El Salvador team Aug 4, with fans in the stands. I think this has to set up a bit of a target timeline for TFC to potentially return as well.
A full roaring stadium and no masks at SkC. What a beautiful sight.
Meanwhile here in Ontario we still can't legally get a haircut, lol.
I wish our politicians/health "experts" and MSM had some balls like they do in the states
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
All I'm gonna say is as an essential worker in a hot zone, I don't feel like me or my coworkers are all that supportive of us getting covid now so people can go to BMO
August will be fine
So first there was the guy with the chainsaw
then there was that damned bell
Now...there is going to be an effin jackhammer

Not sure about the "put them on the wall for posterity" thing but the idea in and of itself is actually kinda cool in a "we are going to hate this arn't we" sort of way. Like, I can't stand that bell but it is an amazingly good idea.
Just so we are not left out, maybe we can use a leaf blower for our celebrations
We can rev that shit up and blow confetti maple leaves in the air after ever goal
And when players get involved they can use it like an air guitar to get the crowd riled up by revving that shit up - so maybe we skin it to look like a guitar.
and if we really want to get crazy we attach some flame throwers on that shit and really get the monster truck vibes going.
I find the goal celebration thing kinda cringe if it doesn't come from the players/fans. The neat thing about the clap with us is the south started it & the players came over at the end of the game & out rolled a drum because Iceland had done that so why not & there we go.
The whole "For the boys on the field" song thing is such a shit song - I just sing it because its OUR shit song.
Any other attempts to create tradition have been really bad - well apart from

Ayo Akinola filed his one-time switch and will now officially be a Canadian national team player for the rest of his career

Photos of the new Crew Stadium up on the MLS site. Nothing too fancy but I get jealous anytime I see an enclosed setup. One day…
I like our stadium & its eccentricities - looking forward to getting into it next month.
