NEWS | Toronto FC sign defender Luke Singh to (another) short-term agreement
how bush league is this..a big club going for championships, what happend to Dunn?
This just means that mavinga is not paying tommrrow and no pezuelo either.
It is what it is with Singh. He is there to provide depth at CB while Mavinga and Dunn are out.
maybe i missed it...but is Dunn out with a injury?
If it's four day from tomorrow I assume it would also include the league opener on Saturday. Edwards in 2016 signed one for the Canadian Championship in Vancouver on a Wednesday and also played in the league game the following Saturday.

This thread is cursed. Bring on the in season transfer/roster thread!

They don't. 4 day contracts can only be used for league games under 'extreme hardship exception' when we have fewer than 16 players. We're not at that point, so Singh isn't eligible, unless a couple of guys get injured tomorrow. That's how Edwards made his debut, we had a ton of players injured/suspended. See MLS roster rules below
USL Short-Term Agreements
A club may sign players from its USL affiliate to Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) for CONCACAF Champions League, Canadian Championship, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Leagues Cup, Campeones Cup, and exhibition matches. A club may sign a player to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements each season (maximum of 16 days).
Players may also be signed to Short-Term Agreements for MLS League Season games but only in cases of Extreme Hardship.
Extreme Hardship Call-ups
Clubs may add players to their roster in cases of "Extreme Hardship." Extreme Hardship exists when an MLS club has:
- Fewer than 16 outfield players available
- OR has fewer than two goalkeepers available.
A club may sign players, on loan, to Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) for MLS League Season games only in cases of Extreme Hardship.

Wow...look at that first page with a Borre mention...and nothing else has happened.
So now what happened to Zavaletta? Is he hurt too?
How the hell did this thread go 69 pages with literally jack shit in terms of moves
I know it is a small sample size to go on but I like Luke Singh as 3rd CB over Zavaleta. Hopefully they see that too. He will only get better...
Agreed. Based on skillset alone he's an asset. He's got length, pace, aggression in the AIR. From what I saw he's much more comfortable on the ball than Zavaletta which has always been my biggest critique of his game. If Dunn is in the mix as well that gives you 2 very mobile, tall defenders who you don't need to worry about when they are on the ball which is going to be critical if their full backs are going to be asked to support the press. Especially if TFC are going to play as verticle as they were against Léon. CBs are going to be able to play the ball over the midfield at times and Singh looks like he can handle that.
I don’t know how Okello and Priso both get real minutes when all of Bradley, Pozuelo, Delgado, Osorio, Deleon are available.
I think two of the veteran guys have to move on. I suspect the answer is to which two it might be will shock us.
We have some similar math problems at forward btw.

"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
I was thinking something similar last night given the talk about Singh and if/when he will sign a first team contract.
They are going to have to clear some roster space at some point. I think something might go do down before roster compliance tomorrow. A trade/waive/release.
Is Dom Dwyer on trial with the Reds, getting a look, could be cover for Jozy? Seems like he was on the field last night. Interesting.

Bloody hell that's him
i dont get that at all,he was done 2 years ago.jozy.ayo mullinho, perruzza new dp coming in,why?
Dwyer would be taking minutes away from Mullinho. Hard pass.
PS - that is some excellent work cross referencing Dom Dwyer's Instagram page and that screen shot.
