You know, DP's come and go in this league and retire & after awhile, you can't really remember what they did
I will ALWAYS remember Rooney for this
Everything after the corner is bonkers
A very interesting choice for DCU. Sounds like Losada plays an entertaining brand of soccer.
About Inter Miami
Yes, they are going with Neville as the manager & that could be good or bad but will certainly be fun to watch.
But, the really big news is they have hired away Seattle's VP of soccer ops to be their President - Lagerway's right hand man who has been with Seattle since they came into MLS.

(If you want to know about MLS in Miami news, Kaufman is the source - well that and way too much about U of Miami basketball - she's basically their version of Davidson)

No point in discussing this for us. DCU are the MLS pioneers in the game of using MLS as a shop window for South Americans trying to get places. Acosta being the latest in a long line. They would have a nice story for a guy like this.
Our history in this is, errr, Max Urruti and Matias Laba.
Also I don’t think this is generally a great idea with coaches. We tried the concept with John Carver.

You have to wonder where they had this done. There is no shortage of creative types working in Montreal who would have the added benefit of knowing the city intimately and are in a better position to understand history.
What the group charged with this came up with sounds like someone was put in a room and with the instructions of: French, Blue, Black, soccer logo, hipster rebrand. It’s awful.
I wish TFC had made this hire:

Hard to argue with the success Seattle has had when it comes to acquiring players.
Looks like Conway is staying. The one coach I was hoping would leave. It’s funny, Wikipedia already has him listed as the goalkeeping coach for LA.

Hipster DCU manager gets it

Envious, in a way.
"I see pressure as a privilege" isn't the standard answer - not sure Armas would articulate that.
Not too worked up about that one. Sounds cool, but let’s see how he does. My question marks on Armas are:
- Can he manage high priced talent and avoid run-ins like the one with Kaku?
- Does he have a tactical identity outside of the “Red Bill Way” dogma?
- Will he be able to make best use of the players he has or insist on major changes?
I think we will get an indication on some of these items relatively quickly.

UM02 is really mad about the name change to Club de Feces Montreal
As they should be - that whole thing is proving to be one big farce.

Ex TFC academy player, Oladapo Afolayan, just scored he first senior goal for West Ham.
A number of TFC players returned to Toronto over the weekend (Mavinga, Pozuelo, Gallardo, Delgado). That would mean training camp is likely targeted to begin mid/late February.
