TFC interest in Gressel has to have been fictional. It only takes 30 seconds on google to find multiple articles about Gressel trying to become USMNT eligible by 2022.

just signed Marshall-Rutty to the first team
15 years old. Impressive.
Beats Fuad Ibrahims record as youngest first team player for us
I wish we still lived in a world where 15 year olds couldn't sign professional contracts.
But good luck to the kid. Here's hoping he is great. I hope he keeps his marks up.

I’m wondering how much CBA negotiations are holding up certain signings.
Certainly other teams have completed deals but nonetheless it’s probably on a few targets minds.

True but if every team followed player's public statements then lots of players wouldn't end up where they do. There's always room to enquire and see if you can talk them into it like we did with Defoe. He isn't my favorite example and it unfolded as expected based on his statements but we did talk him into coming to TFC before he fled back to Momma.

Please get rid of Jozy. Super Mario would cause less problems and be a better player or hell now we could bring back Seba.
I have my doubts about this report as none of the brain trust have ever sounded like they have this fragile an ego.
Agreed, not sure I believe this... just yet.
It’s hard to tell what Jozy’s relationship with the front office is really like. A bit of venting is different than actual hurt feelings.
Also puts us in a tough spot if true. Is Mullins going to be our danger man up top? I think not, lol.
Might be what they've been waiting for. Obviously they know he can't play more than half a season. It's proven but moving him would be tough because of fan backlash. Now he gave them a bit of an excuse and Beckham is having a hard time filling that last DP spot.
I would do it (if possible) and use the two open DP spots ASAP. Target younger, healthier players.
Then again Gomez has a ton of contacts in Lega MX ... if something were to go down.. and I'm still not sure if I believe Gomez, I wouldn't be surprized if he was shipped to one of the big 4 in Mexico. This is just me being highly speculative though.
They want US viewers just like MLS does. Expanding their market in the US beyond the ex-pat community would not be a bad thing.
Not suggesting it’s happening, just saying a Liga Mx club being interested is not crazy. We’ve heard rumblings in the past that seemed pretty real.
Yeah, wasn't Jozy linked with Tigres in a swap deal for Enner Valencia at one point?
Jozy has a lot of roots in South Florida though. Might be something Inter Fort Lauderdale FC might be interested in. Still have 2 DP spots to play with.
He is not going anywhere having just signed that new contract , just can't see it. With his injury history it just not make any sense to take on such a risk.
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
Knowing the way the front office has moved lately, if Jozy was sold tomorrow it would take them until 2021 to fill his DP spot.
Miami were going to pay a $15M transfer fee for Martinez and he probably wouldn't score as much as Jozy even with Jozy missing his customary half season. Jozy's whole contract is about the same as the fee they'd pay for Martinez and Jozy provides some name recognition and a local connection to go with it. He would probably be open to it so it does make sense.
