The best part of this will be the speculation over the next month.... at least we have the rest of the core team and shouldn't be in a panic mode like last year.

Mls website reporting an mls team is offering 6 million transfer to Argentina's Independiente for 25 year old Cecilio Dominguez (also Paraguayan NT)
Few reasons why this could be us:
-plays primarily as left winger and striker
- we have first hand experience with him as we played against him in CCL when he was playing for Club America
-currently plays for same club that we were heavily scouting when we were trying to acquire Jonathan Menendez

You sure about that?
0.13 goals per game in Argentina. (Janson is 0.15 goals per game and the same age)
0.25 goals per game in Liga MX.
Not eye popping numbers at all. He's 25 with some room to grow but those are not great numbers and fans of Independinte think he sucks

Mandzukic? Would hit the Croatian population well - since we do a Croatian night every year at BMO...just a thought.
Curtis and Jack Todd were at Lyon v Rennes yesterday...

Doesn't seem to be anyone that fits what they were saying on either starting team - too young or different skills - although the guy playing number 10 for Rennes (number 8) looks a player, just more of a Poz type player than a scorer. Must be a sub. maybe Hunou on Rennes?

I think there's a younger player on Rennes that holds an American passport, maybe a loan?
EDIT: Theoson-Jordan Siebatcheu, let's just call him TJ..
If we're looking at France, a guy I'd love would be Wahbi Kazri, who can play on the wing and has a powerful shot from distance.
Can't believe there isn't more speculation based on Areathrasher's awesome pic. Everyone on holidays already or something?
I dont see how Osorio fits TFC anymore with Poz having to play in the middle as a 10.
Maybe TFC could trade him for Teibert and a bunch of TAM? That way you get back a Canadian who is a little more defensive and some TAM to maybe sign Benezet?
Perhaps they were hoping to get a look at Jordan Siebatcheu from Rennes. Born in Washington and has been used mainly as a substitute. Not sure if he can play on the wing, but he looks like quite an athlete.
Niang seems to be enjoying himself there, too. Fits the profile a little more, but he's on loan, which adds more obstacles.
