"You play to win the game"
Herm Edwards - Former NFL Coach
Dammit Glen! Hyphens are important! You freaked me out for a minute there!
Bones...
Fixed the thread title, lol. We don't need any heart attacks.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
We need a "Bradley takes a haircut" scarf, no?
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
This says everything.... “The only TFC player who has played every minute of every MLS playoff game in the club’s history.”
He has always put team first, plays with passion and professionalism. Hard recipe for the modern athlete... but not the General. He has been well payed but never begrudged it because he always shows up no matter what. This seriously could continue our run if the FO makes the next call well.
Looking forward to San Jose

This is more than just re-signing a player - this is about keeping the captain with the ship. This guy has a lot of influence on that clubhouse and I can safely assume, it's for the positive. Very hard to find that kind of player.

Real Nice touch!
I think its time to finally retire the Dichio song and replace it with one for our Captain.
Great presser today, with lots of tidbits

First question #4 asked when they asked him to sign as a TAM.... are you going to go get a DP?
Manning says they started at 20 targets and narrowed down to 3 or 4.
"Club president Bill Manning said on Thursday that Curtis and Vanney are currently in South America scouting prospective Designated Players. Curtis told the Toronto Sun that they will be visiting Uruguay and possibly Argentina during the trip to South America, and then Holland, France and Spain in search of an attacking player and goal-scorer."
Additionally, unless Benezet is willing to sign a regular contract, he is gone...no Tam deal for Nico.
I said it in Seattle, we may have to make it 3 out of 5.
