^ first time I've seen something cancelled due to bubonic plague concerns.
Apparently DC is finalizing a trade for Ola Kamara. Looks like they want to be a serious contender in the east.
Bono not too happy with his role in the team & Vanney: https://www.newwestrecord.ca/after-l...lay-1.23906381
Not really that surprising given his demotion (which was deserved as far as I'm concerned).
Hindsight is 20/20 and all that but damn we should've sold him to Europe in 2018.
The bewilderment is a tad unbecoming. He was given an extended run after he made a number of blunders. The issues continued.
Anyway these guys are competitors and want to play. That part is not surprising.

In other news - DC journos confirming now
Mrs. Wayne Rooney wants to go home so Wayne is shipping out at the end of the season. He likes where he is but she is missing her family.
Bono has been soooooo bad with the ball at his feet for the entire time he has had the net. That isn't a totally untenable fault, but the fact that he was terrible on goals for a calander year is the reason why he hasn't seen the pitch since Westburg has shown competancy. Westburg isn't the greatest goaltender in the worl but at least he looks like a footballer when somebody passes to him.
Just how long is MLS going to put up with NYCFC playing on the shithole pitch that is Yankee Stadium? It might be an iconic baseball park but as a half ass football pitch it’s a disaster. I watched their game against Houston last night and the divots that we’re coming up on the temporary grass were unbelievable. At one point a three foot long gash six inches deep came up forcing a City player to attempt temporary repairs while the game went on. It’s only a matter of time before a player gets seriously hurt on that Frankenstein park. And that’s before we get into the narrowness of the field that turns the game into pinball soccer. The league would never put up with it if it was in any other city (save maybe LA) It’s time MLS took action and set NYCFC a deadline to move to a proper grass field designed for soccer or boot them out the league. It’s not that NYCFC can’t afford it since they part of a global football corporation that owns three clubs including the English Champions. It’s time the put up or got out. MLS are allowing them to make a mockery of the game playing on that abomination of a pitch. I won’t say NYCFC gain an advantage playing there (no team could on that piece of shit) but at least they are familiar with it and it’s pitfalls which does give them somewhat of an edge
MLS will give them forever, because they don’t want another “New York” Red Bulls.
It’s not as easy as throwing money at the problem, and NYC is the biggest blemish on Garber’s time as commissioner.
Look at Beckham’s group in Miami, which should be a trivial market to operate in compared to NYC.
Don Garber wanted a team inside New York City in the worst way possible. And he got it.
But one wonders what would happen if the Yankees decide to pull out of their arrangement and kick NYCFC out of their stadium. How much shitting will Garber do in his pants?
TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)
This chart is fascinating in a "He only scored that many while that guy scored THAT many?!?!?!!" sort of way

Martyn Bailey is a treasure, BTW.
Dichio still top 10. That says something, seems kind of amazing.
Pozo will catch him later this year.

RSL has fired Petke for repeatedly yelling Puto in the refs face after a Leagues cup game.

If we get rid of Vanney, anybody in here who suggests him is going to get an earful.
No place in sport (or anywhere) for this sort of behaviour. Not only is it offensive and unprofessional, the way he went about it makes him look like a psychopath.
Considering MLS and US Soccer’s stance on “the chant,” you’d have to be a degenerate idiot of epic proportions to even consider doing this in the first place.
Good riddance. What a moron.
