LAG just traded with Colorado to grab the #1 spot in the waiver list.
LAG is going to waive a DP & then claim them back off of waivers & sign them to a cheaper contract.
Most likely G Dos Santos.
Soooo....no to Allessandrini.
I'm really starting to think he left TFC strictly for the money. The soccer looks pretty lame from the highlights of his goals.
I read somewhere that he is getting 15M/season in Saudi Arabia
that's 45M USD NO TAX
after tax he would have netter around 10M at TFC
thats a 35M difference in his pocket
TFC cannot compete with the Arab leagues if a player is solely money driven.
I don't blame him for this choice its his choice but people need to stop blaming TFC.

I am told this was in regards to Julian Araujo. He didn't qualify for HG rights, so Galaxy had to waive and then reclaim to officially get him on the roster.
Yeh, saw that now
Here's Tenorio's explainer of all this.
Most of the league is REALLY upset with head office over this.

Ya - TFC could never pay him that. This is a league wide "issue". MLS can now afford to pull in 27 year olds with a decent contract. But they can't reward them for their service in later years. MLS will eventually get there, but they are not there.
Any idea what Vazquez got?
Just saw this tweet...how about we go after Raheem for one of those winger spots...
Sam StejskalSource tells me that the Fire will loan Elliott Collier to Memphis and Raheem Edwards to Lansing to become compliant in regards to international spots.@samstejskal

If the Fire, who lack speed on the wings, think Raheem ain't good enough to keep around, we probably don't want him.
Do MLSE expect us to be really excited about Jozy resigning? Are we supposed to forget they let Betashour, Vazquez, and Seba go? Theyre treating JA resigning like its a new DP. He'll spend half his time injured.
Not impressed with MLSE this off season
Discuss other teams rosters here, not in the TFC thread:

I’m not sure why, but coaches have made some weird choices for this guy that have impacted his performance.
Remi Gard had him playing on the right side. Complete non starter considering he’s very one footed. He was never going to take the left side away from Piatti and Lovitz owns LB + they had someone else in the backup spot. No clear place on the team.
Chicago played him on the left but as a forward. With all due respect to Edwards, unless it’s in a substitute role that’s going to be a tough spot to crack as a starter. He’s compared to DP’s and others on 4x the payroll, expectations are high. Using a international spot on a sub? hard to justify.
He needs to get back to fullback. His defence isn’t perfect but it’s workable and his offensive game fits that spot to a T.
Some rumours of attitudes related things as well but I wouldn’t hold it against a guy at his level if he’s being pushed around to make room for international spots. The way MLS is treating players in his position is fundamentally unfair.

This is a very good example of the discrimination against Canadian players in the league and which is sometimes reflected, in my view, with lack of development of Canadian players by TFC. The new rules will help to some degree but it isn't clear that players like Oso would be captured.
Hanni could possibly be TAM if the league does something with it's ridiculous amortized transfer fee crap. Lose that already. If some teams want to pay big transfers then let them.
