Well Mavinga can play in both legs now, seeing as he is suspended for at least the New York game.
Vancouver didn’t play a full line up yesterday too. Left Kamara at home (I don’t think he’s got an injury), so I get the feeling they are really going to be after this.
Away trips: 2014 - Seattle. 2015 - Montreal. 2016 - Montreal x2. Playoffs - NYCFC, Montreal. 2017 - Salt Lake, Philly, Ottawa, Montreal, Chicago, LA, Atlanta. Playoffs - NYRB, Columbus. 2018 - Monterrey, MX (Tigres) CCL, Montreal, Ottawa, Montreal. 2019 - Philly, Montreal, Seattle (MLS Cup final)
Scally's for this late one.
Vancouver really pulled it off v the farm team. This Wed will be a fight.

FORMER FULL TIME KOOL-AID DRINKER
It's very hard to prioritize; CCL PLAYOFFS VS MLS CUP playoffs?
Don’t expect Seba, VV or VDW in the lineup on Wednesday.
Road Games: ‘16-PHL,MTL,MTL(ECF); ‘17-CLB,ORL,NYC,DCU,CHI,MTL;
‘18-MTL,NER,OTT,ATL,MTL; ‘19-MTL; ‘22-MTL;
Anybody know if the team is in Vancouver now?
yes i think they are...from atl to van this afternoon
V-Cup is the only way back to the CCL, which is the only thing TFC haven't won yet, so I prioritize that over MLS Cup this year.
One of the Van journalists on twitter stated Giovinco didn’t make the trip out West. So I guess its the Caps game to lose.
I'd be very interested to see what a front 2 of Jozy & Hamilton would do together.
I suspect our backline will be Auro Hagglund Zavs Mavinga & Morgan
Midfield of Bradley Osorio & Delgado.
I think we get an away goal out of that.

On another note - there really has never been a team in MLS history that is as good at winning home & away series as is TFC - we havn't lost such a series since 2015 - 13 wins on the trot.
I'll eat my left Boot if Fraser and Chapman don't start. There's a reason they didn't make the trip to Atlanta.
The way I see it, Vanney is just looking at getting a tie with an away goal for this leg and is going to give a lot of Canadians field time. After the game, he'll adjust players and formations to get the win at home. If things look bad, he'll pull out all the big guns for the second game, just like he did with Ottawa last year. You can guarantee that Seba will be on the bench or starting the second leg.

You're right, and that's smart strategy on Vanney's part. If he played Giovinco four times in 15 days (two of those games on turf) and Giovinco got injured, that would be a disaster.
It's also been a point of pride for TFC to play as many Canadians as possible in the "Canadian" Championship (they are required to have three).

This is up there with one of the more stupid comments on the board I have ever seen... But I will justify his exclusion:
It's one of the shittier surfaces in the MLS
Rest as there are 5 games in 15 days including the ATL game
He did the same thing last year
You need to start 3 Canadians - I rather start Hamilton and Ricketts upfront instead of an all Canadian midfield of Osorio, Chapman, Telfer and Fraser
But yeah fire Vanney - He only won a treble and was in the finals of CL
Yes. To think, a few months ago we completely burnt out our team. And now some squad rotation comes with more horrid scheduling and people cry bloody murder.
Reality is: if you’re Greg Vanney losing out on the CCL or the Canadian championship won’t get you fired but not making the playoffs this year and a poor start next season might. Only mitigant being if you actually full-on win CCL - risky proposition.
we have a massive league game against nycfc in 4 days and giovinco has played virtually every game for us this year.
need to give him a well deserved rest an keep him healthy.
I think that we need to do well, and preserve the Canadian tradition that it is important to play soccer in Canada, for example, look what Toronto FC did with Johnathon Osario who is from Brampton. He needs to preserve himself and continue in the Canadian tradition which will carry on in the years to come, which means, we can continue to win, championships in Toronto, and Canada, as a whole.
I will go with what Vanney and Gio want to do.
I would like to see us park the airplane. 0-0 would do our confidence a lot of good.
