Much appreciation for the service of one of the truly classy players out there. I hope he has good success (except when he plays TFC).

MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
I literally just said "how come there is no "Beita" appreciation thread?" --- glad it's up now.....I understand that the salary numbers game was a big part of this (and not performance per se) and that some turnover is natural from year to year..... but he will be missed both on and off the field by many in and around this organization....good like Beita! - you are forever a Champion in our hearts, and will get a standing ovation from me upon your return....
Beitashour almost died for the club. Literally.
His comeback from that horrific tackle in the VCup was amazing.
Best of luck to him, and thanks for everything he did for TFC.
Ya he was good .. even though he'd rather leave Toronto for more money so meh just another in and out player.
Had the assist on the great Cheyrou goal of 2016!
A crafty player. He has amazing 1 on 1 defending skills. He has an ability to recover even when his man gets a step on him.
I hope he is getting a ton of dough from LAFC, he deserves it.
I will root for him even when he plays us. I feel that way about every core contributor on the 2016-2017 team.
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
And exactly how we all would have drawn it up before this game....a 95th minute go ahead goal - Beitashour to Cheyrou
I was real happy the day we got him because it was exactly what I felt the team needed at the time....a veteran presence to help shore up our D, who was also very competent in attack.
And he was just what I hoped.
Hate to see us losing starting members of our legendary G.O.A.T. team, but it was inevitable.
Good Luck in LA, Beita!
Mini Tifo for sure for Beita on Sept1. Just mentioning it out there
Road Games:
2013, 2014, 2015 - Montreal; 2016 - Montreal (Leg 1 Conference Final); 2017 - NYRB (Leg 1 Eastern Semi), Columbus (Leg 1 Eastern Finals); 2019 - Seattle (MLS Finals)
10 percent raise still puts him within an earshot of being the best paid RB in the league, A Graham Zusi notwithstanding.
I love Beita. The same way I love every player who has been on the team the last two years. Each of them in their own special way, for different, specific reasons. He will hold a place in my heart for his work rate and professionalism, Not to mention The Cross against MTL and his coming back from almost dying on the field to being a big contributor to a shutdown defence that won us the Cup.
Whoever we bring in to replace him will have big shoes to fill. Cheers to Beita for all the memories. Hope he kills it in all future endevours.

This guy was a part of some very key moments in TFC History - and he's a fucking RB!
That cross to Cheyrou against MTL in last years conference final! Breaking his pancreas in the NCC and still finishing the match. (I just realizes those are both against MTL - so he is officially an Impact killer)
I was a bit suspect of his game at first but the past two years he's really solidified his game - man it's a huge loss and big shoes to fill for sure.
All the best to him. He's a legend now, as everyone on the 2017 TFC now is. Hope to see his name permanently on the hall of fame wall (or whatever they're calling it). Everyone on that team should be there.
It sucks to lose him and it's a big hole to fill. I hope he has success in LA, but not as much success as he had here
Toronto FC baby...best team everrrrrrrrrr -Jozy
As an aside, glad a veteran player like him has more options with the limited free agency, such as it is. That is all.
He gave his Pancreas for the team. That's all we need to know. A warrior and a gentleman, I wish him all the best in LA, except when he plays TFC.
This guy was the real deal a big part of this championship winning team I think he deserved at least one more year here. He is leaving a champion and a legend and will be missed let's hope they can bring someone that fits right in and that does not disrupt the amazing chemistry this team had this year, all the best to you sir.
This guy will NOT be 1-upped! lol

What happened to him in wake of that agricultural challenge put things in perspective, to be sure—never would I have been hoping he'd play out the match… but, he did.
About as balanced a defender as they come, and the man offered so much more intangibles. Something about "big shoes."
Thank you for all you gave. Just as I'm sure you'll never forget your time in Toronto, so to shall we always remember you.
Thank you Beita for your service and all the best in LA.
Why did Whitecaps trade Beitashour to us for a 2nd round superdraft pick? They got fleeced.
Always made time for the fans, a true gentleman!! That standing ovation he received in his 1st game back from that pancreas injury gave chills. All the best in LA and thank you for the memories!!
They thought they could replace him with this guy.

They were misinformed.

Forever a part of the epic campaign,
and we'll always have this memory. Good luck Beita!
