I'll say this... we've played a fair number of big games over the last few years, and this is one of them. I've never been less nervous for a big TFC game.

I don't know why, but I feel like I would watch this video before every TFC playoff game this year, so motivating. We're lucky to have him as our captain.
Key for this game will be our midfield to make sure there's very little turnover of the ball and we don't get caught committing too many players in their end. I except 1-1 draw as for final result tonight.
Game Day!!!
This game will be very interesting to see how it plays out. NYRB will need to find the right balance of attack and defend. If we can score one, we will get 3. I was snooping on the Redbull forums and the common theme is they are going to boo Jozy and Bradley mercilessly and they have to keep a clean sheet. If we can get on the board, especially early, I can see us running away with things. I will be happy with a draw or even a loss provided we get 1 or 2 away goals.
So what will the line-up be? What will the formation be?
I'm leaning towards:
--------------------Bono--------------------
--Beitashour--Moor--Mavinga--Morrow--
--------------Bradley----------------------
--Delgado--------------Osorio-----------
-------------Vasquez--------------------
---Giovinco--------Altidore--------------
with Irwin, Zavs, Hasler, Edwards, Cooper, Chapman, Ricketts on the bench
But we could also see:
----------------------------Bono---------------------------
--Hasler---Zavaleta-----Moor---Mavinga---Morrow---
---------Delgado-----Bradley----Vasquez------------
------------Giovinco------Altidore-----------------------
Thoughts?
I hope they get booed to hell and back throughout the playoffs tbh....If the fans want to make the US WC failure into a personal thing to Jozy and Bradley, i'm sure they'll oblige, to the benefit of TFC....and a "beastmode" Altidore will be a very scary thing for the defenders....
Larson has our our standard 3-5-2 and all the usual suspects in the projected Line-up from today's Sun.....I'd be shocked to see anything different for tonight myself.....
I like the diamond to take away central space from Kljestan, and it also shifts Mavinga more centrally to deal with BWP.
Do we see Hasler and lean towards a more offensive gameplan or go with Beitashour and protect ourselves defensively?

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

My head is about to explode, ive been distracted all day waiting for this game!!
What's this about Mavinga being a probable for tonight because of an ankle injury? Is this the on going injury that's been nagging him?
Kickoff @ 7:20
Need to keep a clean sheet !!!
It's a "rolled ankle" picked up from Atlanta game. Another player complained of the same injury, can't recall who it was, maybe jozy. it was both reported as minor injuries and they should be good to go.

Saw on TSN just now being reported Jesse Marsch said NYRB can't defend. They don't know how to keep it compact so they will come at TFC.
Hope we can grab an early goal make NYRB sweat. And I love seeing Marsch loose his mind on the sidelines lol.
No surprises in the lineup... Would've liked to see Hasler over Beitashour

As expected, with Beitashour at RB.
I have to remember that this is only the first half of a 180 minute game, the second half of which is played at our place.
We have come back from 3-0 down to win 7-5. Others can do that to.
We have the best squad we have ever had out there. Can't ask for anything more.
I don't want any drama in these playoffs. I just want to waltz through right to the Cup, like a coronation.
I'll admit it. This game scares me.
Idk we played NYRB well this year both times without Giovinco. 1-1 away and 4-2 at home. Hope we can grab that away goal.
Having said that NYRB are no slouch. BWP can punish us.
Looks like a lot of NYRB fans are dressed as blue seats for Halloween!
