So with that news, guessing Ricketts and Vazquez would be inserted into the 11.
Take Vazquez off for Chapman midway through (60th minute) to save for NE.
I wonder if Morgan would be comfortable on the left of the back 3 with Morrow as the wing back (with Raheem suspended)?

Morgan played some games at wingback, I think last year, and was quite good. Him outside of Morrow would be my choice.

With Jozy not being available, I wonder if Seba will see some minutes in this one. He claims he is ready to go and from what I understand he is getting the green light for the NE game. For him to come off the bench for the last 30 would certainly shift the tide.
I can see them possibly rolling out this line up seeing as the international break is upon them.

With Delgado suspended for the weekend match at New England I think it makes sense to start him for this (assuming he can play in this while suspended in MLS, which I think he can).

VV for chaps in the second half and seba for 20min depending on the score?
The big question is what is thinking Vanney about playing Seba in New England from the start, just as a sub for last 15-25 mins (depending on the score), on not playing him at all.
He should know this already well before the Ottawa game, because this is depending just on that he's willing to risk or not a Seba injury because of the shit NE turf.
I'm sure Seba would be ready and willing to play both games full time.
If he knows he'll not play Seba at all in NE, than Seba should play 100% of the game against Ottawa.
After rushing Seba out last time and him getting reinjured because of it I doubt Vanney will play him at all this week. We're doing fine without him. Let him rest.
Seba's going to sit until after the international break. Then he's going to make DCU's lacklustre back 4 look like pylons.

Apparently Seba is a bit pissed off, feels he's ready, and already wanted to play vs. Columbus. (He posted that to Instagram.) Keeping him out two more full games might make sense, but would piss him off more. The team seemed to think he would be ready vs. NE.
NE's shitty turf is the last place you want to bring him back for his first game. I hope Vanney shows his backbone and rests him for one more week...tweaking or reinjuring is the absolute last thing Seba needs.
Trust Molinaro to get the info we are all asking about. (Mostly because he always asks about injuries so Vanney gets used to telling him everything)

Maybe give Giovinco 45 mins here and keep him out vs. New England...
The only thing I know for certain and can guarantee is that 3 out of the following 4 will start : Ricketts, Hamilton, Morgan and Osorio. My gut tells me Osorio, Hamilton and Morgan with Ricketts coming on for Seba at the half or at the hour.
So if you are Vanney, do you:
(1) Play Giovinco at NE, making him play on the crappy turf because it is a league match?
(2) Fearing the turf at NE, but wanting to let him play, play him for this match but not in NE?
(3) Make Giovinco wait until after the break (the most medically conservative, but pissing Giovinco off)?
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
I play Gio 45 minutes here.
I don't let him within 500 miles of the turf in New England.

on a sidenote...mtl is playing its A team vs VAN B team tonight, that should be interesting.
I would rest Giovinco a few more games, make sure whatever he has had is healed fully. Its a long season and the championship is the goal, right now we are winning and there is no need to rush him back.

It's "Game Day", can you feel it !! Knock off the Fury to setup a final vs the L'impact, that would be sweet.
