For me the difference has been the sending off. Not because of the numerical advantage, but because Toronto stopped playing the ball back to Bono and instead turned the ball upfield.
Possession maintained resulting in goals.

The tree huggers losing their cool here
Love Edwards directness. He just turns and attacks defenders head on.
Hurtado, holly god that was like a training drill and he missed the net.
Comfortable win. Shea's man of the match for us !
Hurdadurtado is such a joke of a player
The lads came good at the end. Dunno if the sending off gave them more space or more belief. To be honest though it was a pretty drab game until the final fifteen minutes. It has to be said that Vancouver are brutal. It would have been a major disappointment to leave without three points today
Still five points and unbeaten after three road games is a reasonable start to the year
A great win by the Reds, good to see them take advantage of being a man up.

Win and two Ties on the road to start the year --- very happy.....
Very untidy game, particularly at the end. Okay kids, I'll start supper now.
Long term we obviously have to have better form than we've shown so far, but for now, we could do a lot worse than five points in three road games. I'll gladly take it.

Here is the difference between Bono and Irwin.
on the Hurtado chance, if that's against Irwin as I am watching the play develop I would be thinking 100% goal as I have seen that so many times result in a goal, I would say almost everytime. against Bono my thoughts are we got a chance to stop the shot.
Two positives. First three road games last season was 1-1-1 with 4 goals for and 3 against. This year 1-0-2 and only 2 against. so we are up on points and better defensively and aren't playing for ties. Secondly we were a man up and didn't screw it up more so we took advantage. This is a good thing.
Still worried about the poor play. I really hope they start communicating and playing better. We should be in better form than this with such a short off season. My big worry is that Vanney (who I still have a low opinion off) is just thinking we'll be fine and being to easy on them as he feels his job is more than likely safe. I'll be interested in seeing how things go against Atlanta they seem to have a lot of potential.
Jeepers, Atlanta beating up on Chicago 4-0. They were a man up, but still. Josef Martinez is straight up too good for MLS. He's going to score 20 easy.
Winning sure feels good.
I think we did much better as soon as we took Cooper off for Vazquez. In the first half, our midfield weren't making any positive movement forward forcing Ricketts and Altidore to collect the ball deep in our end, or Bono to hoof the ball up (Irwin's distribution is much better IMO). Once Cooper was sent off, it seems that Oso and Vazquez were on a better wavelength and we were able to move the ball more freely through the midfield.
