There will be f'all use for MLS live this year then - all the TFC sportsnet games plus select TSN ones were on it last year. Can't see there being many on there this year now.

I do as well but increasingly don't have the time to. TFC games off it plus an increase in nationally televised games means there will be a far lesser selection of games for us to watch via MLS Live this season - if it's retained.

So my question is: If TSN is taking the MLS games, then why did CBC trademark "Soccer Night in Canada"?
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
Well that's too bad. I would have loved to thrown TSN in the garbage. I don't feel they make the effort to improve the product that they should.
With the length of the deal maybe they will promote MLS as much as the CFL
I'm reasonably pleased. I think CBC would have been interesting to see what they could've done with it and what their numbers might have looked like, but I enjoy TSN's coverage and they've always been far superior to Sportsnet.
I'm really surprised that TSN went for it. They seemed to hardly care for most of the past season. I hope they promote MLS & TFC more from now on, and put a bit of production effort into the games. Maybe a short pre-game show as well?
Anyway, I'm not getting cable for this either.
5 more years of shit coverage and games being on random TSN channels.
So long as we're off TSN2, I'm good.
I have a feeling there will be a bit more effort into the MLS coverage this year because a) rating went through the roof for the east final and MLS Cup and b) TSN has increased their base coverage with all VWFC and TFC games being broadcast (so l make it look good, to recoup your costs)
I foresee TSN will either have a central studio team (Andi Petrillo and Kristan Jack) and throw to the dedicated broadcast teams for TFC (Wileman and Caldwell) and VWFC (their radio team that has been the backup to Wileman and DeVos the last couple of years). Or, they will just have the broadcast teams and an in stadium host for their broadcasts.
I feel as though there will still be a few games on TSN2 (because you can't avoid every conflict), however, they may use their 'regional' channels properly now and have TFC on TSN4 and Shitecaps on TSN1 (as they have been doing)
